Your Baby's Not Cheap Either, Senator
Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO) just sent out a press release touting his vote against the stimulus bill. Its title is "Bond Opposes Democrats' Trillion-Dollar Baby."
So let me get this straight ... $600 billion baby, waged on false pretenses, that's okay. Trillion-dollar baby that promises to create millions of jobs, totally objectionable.

And he is retiring from the senate and is not running for reelection. Wow, he is just so courageous. It's so nice to see someone stick to their principles of screwing the american people. Good job former senator.

Hmmmm. It appears that the stimulus bill, itself, is a shovel-ready project, as Republicans devote renewed effort to deepening the hole they've dug for themselves.

SO GLAD that excuse for a Senator is retiring from "representing" me and my state.

Senator Bond plainly stated on MSNBC last week, that he against the Economic Stimulus bill that creates jobs for Teachers, Police, Firemen, etc. - because THOSE Jobs - do not create PRIVATE WEALTH.
RNC Steele said something similar on 'This Week' and I wish this point was highlighted more. The Republicans are against Public/Government jobs/spending - regardless that Private Corporations are Not Hiring.

"Trillion-dollar baby that promises to create millions of jobs..."
Really...it "promises" to create millions?
"...assessing job creation is an inexact science. Romer and Bernstein repeatedly noted 'considerable uncertainty' in their estimates."

Believe it or not, Sarge, but words can have more than one meaning.
v. prom·ised, prom·is·ing, prom·is·es
v.tr.
1. To commit oneself by a promise to do or give; pledge: left but promised to return.
2. To afford a basis for expecting: thunderclouds that promise rain.
Not every cloud produces rain either.

Notice to all Missourians. Call Robin Carnahan's campaign office and volunteer. We absolutely need another Democratic senator--and there's no reason we shouldn't have two females.
Thanks.
