Coleman's Site Asks Online Donors To Cancel Credit Cards -- And Send A Check
Another fun detail to the story about the Coleman campaign's breach of online donors' credit-card data -- which was caused after the site's entire unencrypted database was briefly posted online in late January.
The campaign's FAQ page about the breach -- which promises that the individuals who stole this information will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and urges any concerned supporters to cancel their credit cards -- ends with a solicitation to send more money:

Of course, the donation has to be sent by snail-mail, or made with a credit card over the phone, because they've had to take down their Web site's credit-card functionality.

Good lord, that FAQ is the biggest pile of self-serving, deceptive and outright dishonest BS I've seen in a while.
It would be worth doing a point-by-point rebuttal to each of those lies with links to the actual facts (and photos where appropriate), and getting them up where even Norm's victims couldn't help but see them.

Wondering why they are saying 'send us a check' rather than 'give us the new card'?
Thats because the card processor levies a fine of $50 per card to cover the cost of reissuing all the cards.

Hmmm. Dunno if I'd want to send a check to Spiny Norman. (If I were a Coleman supporter, that is. Though it might end up going to Al Franken anyway!)
A check has your account number and your bank's routing number on it. That's all someone needs to to pay their bills out of your account. Could you imagine NoCo sending notices to his by-check donors telling them they all should close their checking accounts and open new ones? Ha!

Up there in Coleman/Pawlenty/Bachmann country, I don't doubt there are plenty of fools writing checks and paying to buy money orders to send to this disaster of a former US senator.
And blaming Obama for hacking Norm's web site.

Shoot, I wouldn't even want to give 'em my credit card number by snail mail [or over the phone], for fear that their Crack Security Team [i.e., security team that's on crack] would post the names & numbers somewhere on-line again.
