Tedisco Is Great, According To -- Tedisco?
Did the campaign of Jim Tedisco, the Republican candidate for Kirsten Gillibrand's old House seat, cite itself for praise of the candidate?
A few weeks ago, Tedisco came out with this ad, containing a quote that Tedisco has "a proven record of public service":
The quote is then sourced to r8ny.com. But it turns out that a Google search of r8ny.com shows only two pages saying Tedisco has a "proven record of public service" -- and they are both Tedisco campaign press releases.
A Tedisco spokesman did not have any more details on this particular aspect of the ad as of this writing, though the spot itself was taken out of circulation a while ago.

Aha... so you admit it's an accurate quote!
Another win for Tedisco!

Yano, I'm hearing this guy's name in my sleep. But I have to go use the Googles to find out who he's running against because even at TPM,let alone the MSM (and I live about two miles from the NY state line so I get a lot of NY news) you'd think he's running unopposed. Anyone know why that is?

Tedisco is a state assemblyman, relatively popular in the NY capital district and upstate in general, as he has good name recognition.
When he was chosen to be the candidate, and then a completely unknown businessman from Glen Falls was picked as the Dem candidate, he was up in the polls by serious double digits.
That has since narrowed, mostly because of heavy-duty TV ads emphasizing Tedisco as nebulous on Obama's stimulus plan. There is a chance that the Dem (Scott Murphy) may win this heavily Republican district.
