The Sunday Show Line-Ups
Here are the line-ups for the Sunday talk shows this weekend:
• ABC, This Week: Lawrence Summers, Director of the National Economic Council, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
• CBS, Face The Nation: Lawrence Summers, Director of the National Economic Council, and Thomas Friedman of the New York Times.
• CNN, State Of The Union: Former Vice President Dick Cheney, in his first TV interview since leaving office.
• Fox News Sunday: Austan Goolsbee, White House Council of Economic Advisers; Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN); Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA); Mark Zandi, Moody's Economy.com; and FDIC Chair Sheila Blair.
• NBC, Meet The Press: House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), and Dr. Christina Romer, Chair of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

The fact that darth vader is agreeing to be interviewed by cnn is just further proof that cnn is a clone of fox entertainment or maybe even better for the wingers than fox entertainment. Remember for the last few years he would not agree to any interviews, other than fox entertainment. First one out of the block now is cnn. CNN used to have some credibility, but not anymore.

Don't hold your breath. They will be praising him and fawning all over him. You want to hurl, just watch.

Correct. They'll probably give him a couple dozen long-stemmed roses in honor of his service to the country. And a plaque.

Glad to see Obama's economic team out in full force. They were hiding in the background for too long.
I liked Larry Summers' speech today. He basically talked about how greed was greater than fear in the past and now it's time to get rid of fear.
Interesting that Larry Summers now supports unions and supports the Employee Free Choice Act.

Wow, they're having almost as many Democrats as Republicans, this weekend. What's up with that? Fluke or did they finally notice after being pounded over the head with it for about fifty days?

I really don't mean this in a bad way, but I think they finally figured out what they want to say and do about the economy. Also, they are getting up to speed on other issues that people want addressed and that they will get questioned on. I guarantee offers and requests were made for admin people to come on the shows and they were respectfully declined. I also guarantee that we will see more admin people on the shows as time goes on and they get up to speed. Just watch. They've only been in power 50 days and they have a ton of sh*t to deal with and digest and figure out what to do about the f*cked up problems that we are facing.

WHEN, Oh!, WHEN (if ever) will the press learn that as long as they continue to give individuals (like Mr. Cheney) a forum, these individuals will continue to believe that they REALLY STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Didn't U get enough of this individual for the last 8 years??????????????????????????????????
Keep dancing America. . . the Piper can wait.

Perhaps I was just unaware, but I seem to recall Clinton and Gore kept their opinions mostly to themselves for at least a couple years after they left office. I'm sure they did paid speaking engagements, but the didn't trot around to the TV shows a few weeks after leaving office to badmouth the new administration.
Dick Cheney had his time to change the world. Please disappear for a couple years, if not longer.
Perhaps someone should tell these programs that FCC rules prohibit showing Dick on TV.
