TSA On Vitter Airport Incident: He Did Not Pose Security Threat
The Transportation Security Administration has cleared Senator David Vitter (R-LA) of wrongdoing in his reported airport rage incident.
To be exact, it was determined that Vitter did not pose a security threat. He did open the door to his plane's gate, which he should not have done after it had been shut, but he didn't go further after the alarm went off.
The TSA's statement: "TSA worked with local partners to review the incident and determined the actions of the individual did not pose a security threat. The individual caused a door to alarm but did not proceed into a restricted area."

so what was the reason he opened the gate door in the first place??? I'm sure any citizen could do exactly the same thing and not be arrested and confined by the TSA and the Airport police. This let's us know how far terrorists can go without being viewed as a threat. Next time my gate is being closed , I'll try the same thing if you will all pitch in for my bail! What a friggin white wash...

I suppose this differs slightly from Vitter's other past problem, where he not only opened the proverbial door, he also found himself in the "restricted area".

Eric left out some important parts of the story:
"The TSA did, however, question why the Senator's carry-on bag was filled with adult-sized diapers...
...While Vitter has been cleared of any violations or wrongdoing, the TSA did find that the Senator is a really big fucking asshole."

Well that was a foregone conclusion. How dangerous can a diaper-wearing, tantrum throwing baby be?

Simply imagine the "outrage" from the GOP if this had happened, say, in 2004 to, oh, Senator Mark Dayton from Minnesota...
