DSCC Rolls Out "Coleman Obstruction Timeline"

The DSCC has just unveiled a new online illustration of the Minnesota Senate dispute: The "Coleman Obstruction Timeline," laying out the Senate votes that Minnesota has missed during the time they've been without a full two Senators.

"The people of Minnesota deserve their second Senator and it is time to for Republicans to stop holding the seat hostage to pursue an ideological agenda," DSCC chairman Robert Menendez said in a statement promoting the new Web page. "We have always said Norm Coleman deserved his day in court - he got two months. It is now time to move on, and let Senator-elect Al Franken get to work for the people of Minnesota."

I like the move!

This is great! Coleman has succeed in buffaloing any number of people with his "count all the ballots" mantra. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is still saying Franken is "ahead" by 312 votes or "finished" by 312 votes, giving the impression that a conclusion hasn't been reached. It's time to say loud and clear that a conclusion has been reached, there is an answer, and it's time for Norm to pack it in.

I have concerns that this type of deliberate obstruction with no possibility of a positive outcome will be the GOP's new ploy for interfering with the governing of the U.S. Keep an eye on NY-20.

Norm, if I may, is definetly toast. Saving face or some form of graceful exit is all he has left. We can help him with that. Something like, first loser, or at least I'm not claiming dangling chads. How 'bout, I'm not going to make you suffer through 8 years of Hell only to find out what you knew anyway.
One really crazy idea is that he could just admit defeat, congratulate his opponent & do what's right for his constituents. Maybe that thought hasn't been put before him.
I see a tweet in this man's near future.

Actually, I think this all may play out in the DEMs favor. So, it takes an additional fews weeks. Every week makes Coleman and GOP more pathetic and repugnant in MN to the voters and to the rest of the nation. They don't care about the country, only the GOP team. It exposes them as a bunch of selfish self interested politicians.

Gov. Pawlenty may also get caught in this backlash. He's been awfully quiet during this mess. There seems to be a growing feeling that he needs to sign the certificate and let Norm flail away. I'm not sure he legally could before the MNSC has their say, but even so, his name is coming up more and more often as being a part of this obstruction. He's definitely going to be between a rock and a hard place.

Pawlenty sings*
"This is the end, my only friend, the end"

Come on, DNC, DSCC, and especially Harry Reid, you gotta pile on a lot harder than that! If you can't get Coleman out by the end of the day Monday he isn't going out until next October.

I keep hearing that Norm has the right to drag this out, but what about my right to equal representation in the Senate?
