DSCC's New Petition: "Give It Up, Norm"

The DSCC is moving out a new publicity push in the never-ending Minnesota Senate race, with a new Web petition: "It's time to give it up, Norm."

The DSCC has also sent out an e-mail promoting the petition to its supporter list, authored by Paul Begala:

But Norm Coleman didn't like that result, so he took it to court. And now when even his own lawyers are predicting he'll lose, Coleman's threatening to keep appealing to more and more courts.

How many more recounts does Norm Coleman want? How many more delays? How much longer will the Republican Party hold Minnesota's Senate seat hostage?

If I thought it would do any good I'd sign it.

If I thought they'd even bother to read it, I'd sign it.

Not the point. This is just so the Frankin folks can point to the results and say see, everyone this side of Texas thinks you're a sore loser. Well, a loser in general, but a particularly sore one on this issue.

What, no mention of the costs of these appeals, or reference to Norms own words about sparing the taxpayers of Minnesota the protracted uncertainty and expense of a recount.

They have to make the story of National politicians telling Minnesota how to run it's State. Really jump on Cornyn saying it could take years.

This petition will do exactly nothing.

if they want to exert pressure, they should get a group of minnesotans without health care who hope receive coverage as a result of obama's suggested healthcare plan/changes...which is being held up by norm, who has no real path to victory. heck, those folks [the aforementioned minnesotans] can even have their own petition too.
