NRSC's Money Pitch: Stand Up Against Former Republican Arlen Specter
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is now trying to channel the understandable rage of their base regarding Sen. Arlen Specter's party switch towards a constructive end: Bringing in some cash.
At the NRSC's Web page, this contribution box pops up:

Not too subtle, but again it makes perfect sense. Don't curse the darkness -- turn on the light (or in this case, bring in some money).

At least they used a decent picture of Arlen. I could see them using one from his chemo days with a giant Red X across it.
So props to the graphics guy/gal at the RNC website.
But who is that guy to the right? Looks like he's preparing to tea-bag.

Middle aged white guy yelling at a computer. That's symbolic that is.

Why is the rage understandable?
As far as the base was concerned, Arlen wasn't even a real Republican.

"Looks like he's preparing to tea-bag."
Either that or being tortured in a way a true tea-bagger would appreciate.
It will be interesting in the next few weeks to see if Collins and Snowe will be assured--by someone?-- they won't be asked to wear Scarlet Letters, should they compromise on occasion.
