Poll: Americans Don't Think Obama Has Increased The Risk Of Terrorist Attack
A new CNN poll finds that Americans don't agree with former Vice President Dick Cheney when he says President Obama is making the country less safe:
Do you think the actions Barack Obama has taken as president have increased the chances of a terrorist attack against the U.S., or don't you think so?
Have increased 26%
Have not 72%
One thing worth noting is that the question didn't attribute this idea to Dick Cheney -- respondents were asked to judge it on its own merits. If they had included Cheney, pitting his reputation against Obama's, who knows whether agreement would have been higher or lower.

Pretty much 100 percent in my book, i always discount the opinion of 25 percent of America. If you thought Bush did a good job the last 8 years then i don't really care what your opinion is on anything else.

1 out of 4 Americans is clinically insane. They are racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic. They are called many names but most of all "Republicans".

This poll, along with Rasmussen's "Capitalism vs. 'socialism'" poll, along with Kos's France/Yurp/New York/San Francisco-favorability poll, have convinced me that this country's political media establishment (and, really, political class) is wildly out of touch with the citizens of this country. Wildly.

I'm sure that Eric NoWe Can'tor would tell you this poll shows that 72% of Americans are out of touch. And it's Obama;s fault for being so polarizing.

1) One of our "leading" news organizations thinks it advisable to poll whether the President is gonna kill us all.
2) One in four "Americans" thinks the answer is yes.
Pardon me if I'm not encouraged.
Do we need to ask what the reaction would have been had this question appeared in a CNN poll in, say, 2003?

In every poll, anything issue/policy/item that has even just a remote connection to the Democratic party or liberal causes gets an automatic 25-30% disapproval/negative rating. As for things they like, remember that among Republicans, Bush still had a 70-75% approval rating even very late into his presidency. And things they agree with? I'll bet if you polled the question today, 25-30% would still say that Saddam Hussein was behind the 9/11 attacks. The same amount would probably agree that Obama wasn't born in the US.
The 25/75 percenters are extreme ideologues, Limbaugh-led sheep, and lunatics. And in some (many?), all three characteristics exist.

What IS encouraging in this poll, though, is the realization that Boner, Cantor, McConnell (or is it McClellan?), et al are playing solely to 25% of the population. Bodes well for Obama's reelection in 2012.

But that's part of the plan. They're playing the long game. They're betting that in 2-4 years, the remaining 75 percent will come to agree with their batshit crazy ideas and theories, at which point St. Ron will ascend from the heavens on horseback, slay all liberals and gays and baby killers - heck, they're all the same people - with lightning bolts, and make Sarah Palin Empress of the World. O, and all the Jews and Muslims and atheists, etc, who refuse to accept Dutch as their personal savior will be damned to eternal hellfire.
