Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Favor Diplomatic Relations With Cuba

Check out this new poll from CNN:

Do you favor or oppose re-establishing U.S. diplomatic relations with Cuba?

Favor 71%
Oppose 27%

If you think this is a drastic turnaround from prior opinion against relations with Cuba...you're wrong. It's only a moderate change from when this question was asked three years ago, and it came out at the time as 62% favor, 29% oppose.

Yeah, a "poll" from the Communist News Network with its red logo.

CNN? Marxist? Sheeesh. You're writing parody, right?

It's a mainstream, pro-establishment, pro-corporate, pro-war, pro-military-industrial complex, pro-tax cut network.

At best, you could call it the Centrist News Network. It, like ALL of Cable News, is no further to the left than centrist. To the left of fascists, true. But it's not left of center, much less communist.

The trolls always strike first...

Remember JakeD?

They are camped out in front of their computers, waiting for a new post.

America expects Shiites and Sunni's to bury the 500 year old hatchet, expects Israeli's and Palestinians to find a peaceful two-State agreement and expects North Korea to give up their nuclear ambitions but some how talking with Iranians and establishing diplomatic relations with Cuba are non-starters.

Good point.

The entire right wing worldview is bizarre. It makes zero sense. When in power, it causes massive destruction, unnecessary wars, supports fat cats, polluters, religious fanatics and hurts the average worker.

Right wing policies have failed miserably. Amazing how they seem to be controlling the media so effectively since their ostensible exile. Even though the nation is against the vast majority of these lunatics, they still control waaaay too much of the narrative frame.

We should drop the embargo and establish full diplomatic relations with Cuba. They are no threat to us, and a large number of Americans have ties to that island. No reason to keep the insane status quo.

When you write that out I realize how moronic this really is.

Cohibas SI!
Menendez NO!

Bring on the cigars.

The House and Senate have long been sensitive to the strong popular sentiment in favor of normalizing relations with Cuba and have voted against the travel ban and even the embargo several times, only to have the White House disappear their efforts during reconciliation.

This is an imperial democracy.

Now I await Karl the Marxist yelping "We're not a democracy, we're a Republic."

Actually, I think Karl was being ironic. His post has correct grammar, punctuation and spelling, which does not square with the moronic content.
