Schultz Schools Boehner On Flatulence Chemistry
In case you weren't already convinced of the awe-inspiring power of TPMDC, yesterday we corrected the many errors House Minority Leader John Boehner made during his Sunday appearance on This Week with George Stephanopoulos. We even provided the good congressman with a primer on cow flatulence and how it contributes to climate change. Last night, Ed Schultz provided a similar service. Watch:
For what it's worth, methane is about 20 times more potent a greenhouse gas than is carbon dioxide, but is only the second most important contributor to climate change. That's because it doesn't loiter about in the atmosphere or very long (in scientific jargon, it has a short half life in the atmosphere) and, for that reason and others, exists in the atmosphere at much lower concentrations than does carbon dioxide.

Why didn't George S. provide this well known fact to Boehner?

He is part of the US media, they don't fact check or provide context, analysis, etc. They just say words. I'm amazed he even asked a moderately pointed question of Boehner in the first place.

Their job is to report the news , not make it. Beside, if he had, the repuglicans might boycott his show.

TPM did mention it, but Schultz totally ignores the biggest untruth in Boehner's spiel: carbon dioxide is not a carcinogen. Boehner simply does not know what he's talking about.

He's getting this information probably from the same people that don't believe in man made climate change.

Yes, but when Bohner speeks, it IS methane coming out of his mouth....

"awe-inspiring power of TPMDC"?
I know it's ironic, but beware of Greek Gods with a hubris vendetta!

Is it just me or does Bohner sound smashed everytime he's on TV?

"Is it just me or does Bohner sound smashed everytime he's on TV? "
There's a reason for that...

Republicans know they can go on National TV and lie with impunity.

I just like the idea that there will now be plenty of google results for "Boehner" and "flatulence," which are richly deserved considering the amount of verbal flatulence and male cow excrement that Boehner puts out every week.

While I wholeheartedly agree with your general assessment about Mr. Boehner, please be advised that there is no such thing as a "male cow".
"Cow" by definition refers to the female gender of a given species, and "bull" refers to the male. For example, female manatees, walruses, seals and whales are also called "cows", not just the bovine (cattle) species.
