GOP Congressman: House GOP Must Act As "Entrepreneurial Insurgency"
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) has an interesting metaphor for how the House GOP needs to take control of its message. Rather than rely on outside initiatives like the GOP's National Council for a New America, the House GOP conference needs to take charge for itself.
Or, as he put it, House Republicans need to act as an "entrepreneurial insurgency."
It may be that McCotter was just speaking figuratively when he spoke of an insurgency -- in the sense that someone might speak of an insurgent politician going up against the establishment, for example. On the other hand, the revolutionary language really has been spreading through the GOP's ranks -- it's not just Michele Bachmann.

They're all over the map. Entrepreneurial, insurgent, re-hyping themselves, ready to meet new challenges, but Michael Steele's foolish enough to reveal what they really want:
Give us your money and your votes, and just sit back nice and quiet: We'll do all the thinking.

Code word alert. When Republicans wax rhaposodic "entrepeneurs," they're not really talking about people who start businesses from scratch. They're talking about rich people--especially the kind who get insomnia over the estate tax hit they'll take if Mums and Pop-Pop don't implement their tax planning program soon and think "risk" means taking a shortcut to the club through a middle class neighborhood with the car doors unlocked.

So with Obama's loophole closing, maybe are they talking about running a coup on a tax shelter country? Maybe later, during a Republican administration, Malta or Monaco might elect to be our 52nd state?
Rich people unite!

Hmmm. Entreprenurial Insurgency. Sounds vaugely reminiscent of the failed K-Street Project.
So, McCotter declined to work with Eric NoWe Can'tor on his NCNA re-branding rodeo. The only House GOOPer leadership guy to not join in on the hoopla. Does that make him a one-man insurgency trying to disrupt the House GOP? Planting Improvised Embarrassment Devices under the chairs of Bohner and Can'tor?
Look, the GOP is contracting. That makes their obvious road a new Contract Behind America. Out-source it to Blackwater.

"Look, the GOP is contracting." Interesting choice of word. They remind me of a dwarf star, getting smaller and smaller . . . and denser and denser.
