Liddy sure doesn't know much about women. Aside from the complete idiocy of his comment, most 55 year old women have already passed through menopause and don't menstruate anymore. Why are people even LISTENING to this moron?

Again, evidence of how few Republicans have ever had a long-term relationship. Most of their men throw the women out as soon as a younger one's available (Newt, Rush, Vitter, Livingston, Hyde) and many of their women are only married for cover (see Lynn Cheney, Barbara Olsen.)

From a dudes perspective, all I can say is that next to the thoughtful and reasoned voice of Judge Sotomayor, Mr. Liddy sounds like the one suffering from P.M.D.D.

But I guess you are entitled to not really care anymore when you get to a certain age...

This is so beyond belief, but as a woman who spent 26 years in the good-ole-boy halls of federal service, I'm dismayed to say that there are still quite a few "like-minded" idiots out there who deeply resent smart women in the workplace. (Now that I think about it, most of them were Republicans.)

And, add to your list of those who threw their women overboard for a newer model... John McCain.

Is it possible they're doing all this just to carve out some space for the newer, kinder, gentler and rebranded Republican party?

Years ago I worked on a project in Connecticut to open a major political organization to women (Sen. Chris Dodd will no doubt recall this)and I stated at the time that the men were afraid we would bleed on their banquet floor...and now here it is almost a quarter of a century later and this is the expressed white male right wing fringe view: That bleeding will interfere with a woman supreme court justice's decision making...Oh, if they only knew that now Sonia Sotomayer holds her wise blood inside and is even more powerful than they fear...its time, its happening, magic is afoot, Goddess is alive...

When I see George Liddy speak about anything, I only wonder why he ever got released from jail for his White House crimes.
