Ted Kennedy's Cancer In Remission

Some pleasant news from Capitol Hill: The Hill reports that Ted Kennedy's cancer is now in remission, and he should be back to work full time soon.

Harry Reid told reporters that he spoke with Kennedy's wife, and was told that the Senator will return to work the first week of June.

Kennedy is expected to have a big order of business to deal with, too: The markup for health reform legislation in his Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

Healthcare reform just got its mojo back.

Best news I've heard for some time. And I bet he's going to push fast and hard. Nothing like brushing with mortality to get one moving.

Praise the Lord. Great news for him, and us.

Great, great news.

Excellent.

If he's able to corral the forces on health care into doing something that constitutes actual reform, should we expect Rush Limbaugh to say that Kennedy is just exploiting his illness to get votes? Rush wouldn't be so gross, would he?

(How's that for a great example of a rhetorical question????)

Wow, this is a fantastic surprise. I had no idea his prospects were this good.

It seems like a lucky coincidence that we will likely see Ted Kennedy and Franken going back to work at the same time. Maybe June will see progress on some of the things we've been waiting for?

THIS ACTUALLY IS EXCELLENT NEWS! FOR HEALTH CARE!!!

Teddy is why healthcare will get done this year. It will be the fulfillment of his senate career. They owe it to him . . . and the country.

Wonderful news! We need him.

Almost as big an order of business as breaking filibusters.  And his early-June arrival should be just about when Al Franken shows up!

VERY good news, indeed!

Hold on. This badly-written AP article says Reid misspoke.
