John McCain will be shouting at clouds in his back yard this week. Sweet.

Right. This is one plank of his groundbreaking effort to re-advertise the Republican Party. Two others are, keeping Talibangelical zealots from stoning his sinful daughter, and making the Bush tax cuts permanent.

You do a great disservice to Sunday show viewers when you don't include Fareed Zakaria's GPS in your lineup. It is light years better than all those other shows in terms of interesting discussions AND news making. He has a better guest than the rest of them this week, as well: Sec. of Defense Robert Gates.

Too bad Zakaria is an idiot.

As compared to whom? David Gregory?

Ouch! Can't top that comeback! Gregory is a pet rock with a hair-do.
And I find Zakaria better than the other idiots. The 3x5 the admin is laying on the press is because the American people are so stupid they need constant repitition to learn by rote. Limbaugh and Morning Joe succeed by telling the same lies every day.
Cognitive dissonance. E.g., Sen. Arlen Specter (D -PA).

I am not sure why you hate "pet rocks" so much, but stop insulting them. I never thought I would miss Russert so much. Watching Gregory, Stephanopoulos, and King cling to republican themes at this point, proves the point. Besides, I am enjoying the outrage and concern they are all showing now. Especially since they sat by and reported little during the reign of Cheney...

Winning back Congress didn't do it. Winning a decisive victory in 2008 presidential, congressional and state elections didn't do it. Now, at last, we know what it takes to finally get the Sunday shows to put on more Democrats than Republicans: a potential flu pandemic and a defector from the Republican Party in the same week.
That's going to be kind of hard to keep up.

LOL... But you forgot the supreme court vacancy....

This repetitive lineup is why the mainstream media is so pathetic. No originaltiy.

Not pathetic at all. This is likely just a full-court press against the swine flu hysteria that's been consuming the press (and our VP *sigh*) lately.

really ?
and just who created the hysteria?

What surprises me is that readers of TPM actually watch those gormless shows. There are much better choices online and off.
