Anti-Abortion Extremist, Hot Wings Fan, Compares Tiller's Murder To Slave Rebellion
Remember when I posted footage of anti-abortion activist Randall Terry from the National Press Club? Where he said that murdered abortion provider George Tiller had reaped what he sowed--and then invited members of the media out for hot wings and Guinness?
Well, now he's given those who missed out a second chance . Terry will host another press conference tomorrow, also at the National Press Club, to make the case that "Tiller's death and office closing can help propel pro-life movement, derail Sotomayor and overturn Roe."
Before that, though, he'll serve members of the press...hot wings. And Guinness.
The event was scheduled before today's act of murder by a right wing extremist--and before Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) condemned the politicization of this sort of tragedy. But it's still on the Press Club calendar.

What if he gave a press conference and nobody came?

Right this very minute on CSPAN, Michele Bachmann and Jean Schmidt are doing teaming up to talk about abortion and the "Pro-life" agenda. It's basically live coverage of the two trying to out-crazy each other in an empty chamber in front of television cameras.
Truly a fitting end to a surreal and disconcerting day.

Yes because 4 million slaves really wanted no freedom and weren't born into it. Oh wait...

You know what the most offensive part of this is, at least to me?
I love hot wings and I love Guinness. And this terrorist sleazebag is going to ruin both for me.

Also, as someone who was a wing cook at a couple of bars in Buffalo, I'd like to say that Guinness is not really the best beer pairing with Buffalo wings. I'd recommend one of the Canadian imports such as Labatts Blue, or Molsen Golden.

My buddy's favorite pairing with Guinness is chocolate ice cream. Seriously.

There's a restaurant here that serves a Porter float: Vanilla ice cream over a good strong dark Porter. Frankly, I'm skeptical. I'll stick with rootbeer for my floats, thanks.

Guinness and hot wings is a terrible combination.
Guinness?
I'd say hot wings and Genny Light, but Genny Light is no longer.
Actually the only Genny beer worth drinking.

I generally agree with you, Wise Kitty, but "drinkable Genny" is an oxymoron. The miracle of Genny is how they managed to get 100 weasles to piss into a can.

What does it say about the National Press Club and its members when they have guests like this.
Maybe they can follow up with an appearance by
Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church, the guy who protests at Iraq war dead funerals.

Remember last year when that nutbag claiming Obama was gay was hosted by the National Pres Club?

"Tiller's death and office closing can help propel pro-life movement, derail Sotomayor and overturn Roe."
In other words, terrorism -- domestic or otherwise -- works, according to Terry.
Help propel pro-life movement = encourage people to kill more of their opponents.
Help overturn Roe = we'll keep killing if you don't.
I'm not sure how it'd work to derail Sotomayor, from his point of view. From the other side, I could see it, in that some might try to make a case for getting a hardline anti-domestic-terrorist Justice onto the Court.
Maybe somebody should ask him. "Are you saying that if a pro-choice Justice is appointed, abortion foes will (and should) keep killing? Is that what you're saying? Is that the official position of your organization?"

Hot wings and Guinness don't go together. You need a lighter, crisper beer to cool down the palate.

I agree 100%. I actually drink bud-light with mine. Please don't flame me for this.
