Bay Buchanan: Epstein 'Showed Tremendous Courage' 'Turned His Life Around'
I just got off the phone with Bay Buchanan who confirms that Marcus Epstein is still executive director of The American Cause, and will be until June 20th. She says his departure has nothing to do with the karate chopping incident, but with his departure for law school.
"The whole incident was inexcusable," Buchanan said. "The language in particular was offensive to anyone by any standard." But, "Marcus Epstein has shown tremendous courage in addressing some serious personal problems and he has turned his life around."
She said she's known about this case for nearly two years, but agreed to let him stay on staff contingent upon full rehabilitation.

Something tells me Epstein wouldn't know "tremendous courage" if it karate-chopped him in the neck.

Why isn't this assault a felony and if it is a felony why is he wasting his money when the Bar Assoc. can deny him a lic. based on that felony conviction ?

He probably pled to a misdemeanor, which would be standard procedure for a first offense. With a misdemeanor, he would be eligible in most jurisdictions to be granted a license to practice law (although it could be discretionary with the State Bar depending on the jurisdiction)

So what's the response from GE/MSNBC? Do they like keeping a racist sponsor like Pat Buchanan on their payroll? Why aren't they repudiating and rejecting Pat Buchanan?

I think Mel Gibson is hiring.

It's amazing how Sotomayor can be branded a racist by a wide portion of the Republican party purely on the basis of a speech given 8 years ago, yet for someone actually convicted of physically assaulting another person in an overt racially-motivated attack just two years ago, there's only tender expressions of sympathy and praise.

Fortunately I think Bay will probably be able to find a suitable replacement pretty easily. Maybe the new guy won't have all the chops, but I'm sure he'll pick them up.

He "Turned His Life Around"? I guess he turned a full 360 degrees.

I'm assuming that the "rehabilitation", "turning his life around" & "personal problems" probably were more related to him being drunk enough on a Georgetown street to act on his crazy racism; not anything to do with the actual racist beliefs.
She agrees with those; but the drunken karate chopping is just wrong... but not wrong enough to do anything about it of course... back to that racist Latina lady!!!!

So, let's see. He "turned his life around" by working for a guy who compared La Raza to the KKK, and called Sotomayor a "racist". Yeah, I'll buy that.

He was drunk when he karate chopped his hapless victim? I guess that makes it ok.

It doesn't say if he got into an argument with the black woman or he just walked up to her and said/did it.
I would love for him to try that on me, not only would he not have a foot left to kick anybody else in the head with, they would have to take him to the hospital to have said foot removed from his vile mouth. He just didn't run into the right Sista!
PUNK!

Is it Bay or Pat? Are the two related? If so, must be a vile house to live in.

Brother Pat and his sister, Bay.

Can we force these all-but-Nazis OUT of the damn public discourse yet?
Seriously, Tom (KKK without the hoods) Tancredo, Pat "White Supremecist" Buchanan and his flaming wreck of a sister Bay should just be banned from TV and mainstream print sources from now on.
These people are TRYING very HARD to destroy the country. When are people going to realize it and stop chatting them up as if they're the nice people next door? These are HATE merchants.
