DNC Web Video: "Where's Sanford?"
The Democratic National Committee is now getting in on the jokes about Gov. Mark Sanford's (R-SC) mysterious disappearance, with this new Web video, "Where's Sanford?":
Interestingly, among all the news footage that was collected to make this video, the official explanation that Sanford has gone hiking on the Appalachian Trail isn't even mentioned at all verbally -- it only makes a brief appearance in some of the on-screen news text.

But the newspapers are picking up on the Naked Hiking Day angle. Could be a whole 'nother day of laughs out of this one.

Disclaimer: I hope Governor Sanford is in good health, and that he really has just disappeared for five days for no real good reason. I really do.
That said, the Naked Hiking Day issue is just a gift from the gods, isn't it?

This could have been the best news in a long time for the state of South Carolina...until Sanford turned up.
Now what of the news that his vehicle was parked at Hartsfield airport and he was spotted boarding a plane? The guy is obviously up to something. Being that it was Fathers Day weekend could he have been paying a secret visit to some of his "other" children?

Somebody somewhere asked the question, 'Who is running South Carolina?' My goodness, what will they do if say, Ohio declares war? Who would take the reins if a major Greenville Pigly Wigly declares bankrupcy? Enquiring minds want to know!
