Jindal Supporters Form Presidential Draft PAC

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that a group of Bobby Jindal supporters in Louisiana have set up their own PAC, called the Jindal For President Draft Council Inc., to urge the Louisiana Governor to run for President and to build up support for him across the country.

Rama Mohanty, one of the lead organizers, said that Jindal's people are not involved with the draft PAC, but they are aware of it. "They are supportive of what we are doing," said Mohanty.

Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin indicated differently, though. "The governor has said that he has the job he wants, and he hopes to be re-elected (in 2011) to continue to move Louisiana forward," Plotkin told the Times-Picayune. He added: "It's flattering, but the governor does not support this effort. This is a distraction from the critical issues that we face, and the governor will not be involved in any capacity."

The Great 2012 Freakazoid SMACKDOWN! Jindal v Palin. Oh, please let it be.

There are Jindal supporters? Huh.

Jindal?  Hmmm... rings a bell... faintly...

Metaphysical question: What year did people stop believing anything uttered by a political spokesperson? You have to wonder why they even bother with their categorical denials. Of course the man is running for president. You have to be thinking about this years in advance and Jindal is clearly doing so.

speaking of incredulous... the 'via newsmax' tag is all you need know about the straight face.

Yawn! This dork will never be president because despite the Republicans claimed desire to broaden the party, those racist SALTINES will never vote for anyone who isn't a WHITEMALE!

How about they draft him into the army so he can "fight them over there" so we don't have to fight them over here?

Are they naive enough to believe that Southern Republicans will vote for an "anchor baby" named Piyush? He may recover from that embarrassing "response" to Obama's speech (I guess volcano monitoring doesn't look so silly now, does it?) but he will NEVER recover from being a)1st generation American b)2 or 3 hues darker than the typical Republican.

Could I be wrong? No, not when analyzing the party that this week 1)Sent out an APB for an escaped gorilla, describing it as "Michelle Obama's ancestor" 2)Sent out an email claiming Obama was going to raise taxes on aspirin because "it's WHITE and WORKS" 3)Sent out an email with all the former Presidents and A SPOOK CARICATURE WITH BIG, ROUND, WHITE EYES and 4)A California mayor who sent out postcards with a watermelon covered White House front lawn, and then claimed that he didn't see any connection.

Have you seen John Boehner lately?

ha.

Of COURSE "Bobby" Jindal will be a candidate. Then we can get a lot of R's ignoring any mention of foreign-sounding names or "birth certificate questions".

Any smear put out by Republicans becomes totally irrelevant when it applies to one of their own.
