Limbaugh Reacts To Newt: "I'm Not Retracting It," Sotomayor Is A Racist

Rush Limbaugh has now reacted to the widely-reported "retraction" by Newt Gingrich of his having called Sonia Sotomayor a racist -- and he's going to keep on calling her a racist by himself:

Limbaugh appears not to have read Gingrich's new Web post with the alleged retraction, but he nevertheless has a lot to say about it based on press reports. "Well I have my own theory about what Newt's doing, but since I'm not doing it, I'm not gonna comment," Limbaugh said. "I'm not retracting it. Nobody's refuted it!"

Limbaugh should probably read Newt's actual post, in which case he'll be pleasantly surprised to find that...Newt hasn't actually recanted it! Gingrich has simply tricked that pesky liberal media into thinking he has, while at the same time repeating his message that Sotomayor makes her legal decisions based on race.

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black!

The pesky liberal media just quoted another portion of Limbaugh's act - "I could support Sotomayor" (she's a catholic)

The headlines matter. The problem isn't what Brian Buetler thinks about Newt or Rushbo. We're not their audience

They are clearly trying to quiet their base so that the GOP Senators can get some control over a nomination process that will surely result in confirmation - no filibusters, no gasoline on fires

The GOP senators want to leave the message that Sotomayor is an affirmative action activist judge (New Haven firefighters case)

And that is ALL

MSNBC now running the Limbaugh support Sotomayor quote I "can see a possibility of supporting this nomination if I can see she has an inclination toward supporting life"

I "can see a possibility of supporting this nomination if I can see she has an inclination toward supporting life"

Hmmm...that sounds an awful lot like a "litmus test". I thought Repubs believed that was a big no-no.

Headline at The Page:

Limbaugh: why I might be for Sotomayor.

Um, apparently Mr. Halperin didn't hear the section you highlighted? Or chose to ignore it?

user-pic

Hey I can't speak for Halperin..nor would I much care to

I just typed in VERBATIM what he said from a clip Andrea Mitchell just ran on MSNBC

user-pic

Lest anyone think that I am a listener!

In fact, I have only heard his show three times and that when liberal friends were listening because it made them laugh

To each his own

A liberal friend once said she only listens to Limbaugh when she is waxing her car.

Grrrrrrr.

user-pic

I wasn't referring to you.

Mark Halperin is, once again, helping out the Republicans.

S'ok!
I have issues
The Politico

Rush flips, may support Sotomayor
By: ANDY BARR
After calling Sotomayor a “reverse racist” last week, Limbaugh says he may support the nominee.

user-pic

When I want to know what a right wing crazy thinks (when not licking teabags) I tune into Yahoo! Buzz (appropriately named)

They're already crying over the Gingrich "headline" and I helped out with buzzing up the Politico headline...

Puttin out the fire
WITH GASOLINE!

What Rush really wants to know is whether Sotomayor is in favor of prosecuting dirty old men who go on sex vacations to countries noted for teen prostitution. With illegally prescribed erectile dysfunction drugs.

user-pic

Though Limbaugh does say that he could support her:

Just look at the fun you can have on Yahoo!Buzz

Liberals made you back down. That's why the world is in the shape it is in, no one will stand up for principles and all the rules and laws turn grey, intstead of black and white.

Sharon gives us wily libs way too much credit. Rush and Newt are backing off because the racist teabag base is destroying the GOP. Please keep up the good work

I guess all this misquoting and pulling out of context stuff on the Newt and Rushbo stuff is meant to match the original misquoting and pulling out of context the original Sotomayor statement.

MSM: If we are going to get this wrong, let's get it completely wrong.

This is all just so hilarious. In a nutshell it's why the right fears Obama -- he plays them like fiddles with things like this Supreme nomination and then the people in charge of the GOP have to talk their extremists off the ledge lest they further destroy their hopes in the next election. Sheer joy to watch.
