Republican Congressman Redubs Climate Bill 'Wacky-Marxist Tax And Cap'

Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) has a bit of a joke for you. "The Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade legislation is just another disguise and it's high time that we call it what it really is: a Wacky-Marxist Tax-and-Cap bill that will suffocate America's small businesses, ultimately strangling America's respiratory system."

Get it?!

The really funny part is that Broun is a doctor (as in, M.D.) so he should know that suffocation results from strangling and not the other way around. Also, that America doesn't have a respiratory system, per se.

In his press release, Broun hearkens back to the good old days when Republicans called Democrats socialists, and limited their critique of cap-and-trade legislation to the false claim--based on an intentional misreading of an M.I.T. study--that climate legislation will cost the average household thousands of dollars.

"Representative Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10) exposed the truth behind the Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade energy tax and appropriately renamed it the Wacky-Marxist Tax and Cap bill as it will increase energy costs for each family by $3,100."

Republicans are greedy ignorant bullies. What is their plan to stop global warming and climate disaster? Cut taxes on rich people? Pray to Jeebus? Double down on Creationism? Too bad it is not an option just to let the arrogant dumb bastards cook to death in their own bullshit mess. It really is time to quit playing nice with these guys. The fate of the Earth gets darker every day and we keep arguing with complete ignorance. Enough!

The planetary climate system is a runaway train. Some of us have been shouting for 40 years that the brakes have failed, and since that time the Republicans have almost universally argued: No they haven't, even though the train has been continuously accelerating. And even though some of us have our hands to our heads, wondering if the train will take the next curve, the Republicans have their hand on the throttle, their feet propped up, confident that the train can take any curve at any speed, making fun of the notion that brakes ever even had a useful purpose...

Republicans are not only bullies, they are un-intelligent bullies...they should be known as the Donner Party, not the Republican Party...

Paul Broun,
Thank you for again showing how unserious you and your crew on the Right are. This week has been a great learning experience for those of us who want serious debate. The Republican party is incapable of that. We suspected that but it has now been confirmed.

I can decide whether the label for this clever word smith should reflect geography or his purported medical degree -is he a cracker or a quacker?
