RNC Ad Goes After Obama -- And ABC News -- On Health Care
The Republican National Committee has this new ad going after President Obama on health care, ahead of tomorrow's TV special on ABC News, to run on select national cable channels tomorrow. The ad attacks Obama -- and without naming them, ABC -- for wanting a government takeover:
"Today a national TV network turns its airwaves over to President Obama's pitch for government-run health care," the announcer says. "Shouldn't this be a bipartisan discussion?"
"Tell President Obama to work with Republicans," the announcer concludes later, "and to stop rushing into another government takeover."

Republicans: Always good for a lie and a laugh and sounding more desperate every day. They are truly without a clue about how mainstream America feels about the need for health care. With no credibility at all on the issue of health care, do they honestly believe anyone outside of the Bachmann/Hannity/Limbaugh base believes a word they say?
It is equally amazing how Repubs feel that blatant lying is perfectly acceptable moral behavior.

It's like they tried to cram as many of their scare words into one ad as possible. "Government bureaucrats." "Government takeover." They are hoping people will hear these words and run screaming. Good luck with that. What's the latest poll? 70% wanting a public option, if I recall?

What part of "option" do they not get. Option. As in, you can choose this. Or perhaps not. Its kind of like how I can choose to mail a letter via USPS or UPS. And, for the record, UPS is doing just fine - even though I have that option. Dipshits.

Republicans know that 'BIPARTISAN means 'do it my way.'
Republicans live on different planet than you do.
Republicans think you are too stupid to see thru their lies.
Call President Obama - thank him for outmaneuvering the Republicans last November, and ask him to ignore them today.

"Tell President Obama to work with Republicans..."
The GOP has one position: no true healthcare reform.
How do you work with people like that?
Pretty delusional.

Yeah, it probably should be. But it's a little difficult when the sole GOP contribution has been "No!". And let's reflect on how much Democratic input they asked for from 1994 - 2006.

This is the exact same playbook from 1993. Stall, lie, pretend to negotiate but then move the goalposts every time the other side gives an inch. Can Harry and Louise be long in returning?
