Grassley Tweets: Obama Speech A Waste Of Time

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) must've sat around waiting on President Obama's speech for as long as we did here at TPMHQ.

Obama speech on healthCareReform (sic) Absolutely (sic) nothing new Waste (sic) of time saying we are going to get that done Baucus (sic) and I know that But (sic) doRITE (sic)[.]

As ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, Grassley's no small voice in the health care debate. But he's also developing a reputation as an ornery tweeter. Last month, he similarly took to the text messaging service to blast Obama. "Pres Obama you got nerve while u sightseeing in Paris to tell us"time to deliver" on health care," Grassley said. "We still on skedul/even workinWKEND."

Grassley is a waste of wrinkly, old skin.

Strong words for someone posting on Twitter.

This guy is very childish and unprofessional.

I am all for embracing new technology, but seriously: this guy, and his Republican buddies, look like DORKS doing this.

Who are they kidding?

Adds a new dimension to the term "all thumbs".

Grassley's just showing he's "no NAIL".

Senators are supposed to be people of intelligence and deliberation, who consider their opinions deeply before delivering them with gravity to the public. Sometime - and it hopefully will be soon - these people will realize that tweeting on Twitter may make them feel au courant, but in reality all too clearly reveals their responses to important issues to be knee jerk and totally shallow reflections. On second thought, maybe Twitter is doing a very significant public service in its revelations.

I'm going with your "second thought." Twitter has exposed Grassley as the illiterate, thoughtless boob he is.

The saddest thing is that some of these numbskulls (er, senators) can't even muster the intelligence to Twitter in the first place.

Is this the Senator Grassley the resides at the "C" Street residence?

Grassley continues each day to embarrass himself. His aides need to take that toy away from him. What an ass.

Why does Senator Grassley support the goals of Al Queda?

That is to kill as many Americans as possible.

The current murder for profit health care industry must be reformed NOW!

Grassley might be smoking grass. His comments make as much sense to me as a Madrid lady's Spanish.
