You'd have thought that after the Sanford disaster, no governor would go before a microphone with shocking news without a planned statement.
She really isn't ready for prime time.

Jesus. Everything about this woman has been more surreal than a "Green Acres" marathon and everytime she extemporizes, it's like a freight train headed toward a collapsed bridge, but I've never seen anything like this. Panic. Obvious barely suppressed panic had her tied in a knot. You get the sense that she's cornered.
Either something big is about to break or one of her enemies has something on her and this is the price of continued secrecy.

She said "...the the world needs more Trigs, not fewer..."; which is equivalent to saying the world needs more babies with Down's Syndrome, not fewer.
In The World According to Palin, large numbers of special needs people will be good for the world, because we can learn something from them.

OK, I just watched it. Is she reading this speech, or just making it up as she goes? She sounds like an unmedicated schizophrenic.
"It does not what is best for Alaska at this time."

"This decision has been in the works for a while."
(The speech sure as hell hadn't, though.)

Twice she refers to giving "her reasons", seeming to over-emphasize that point. Is she trying to reassure us, or herself that we bought what she's selling?
I think her "reasons" are not at all what she stated.

My guess is that the baby was not hers and somebody can prove it.

W,T,F was that? I'm sitting here doing some writing and the computer goes bing you have mail,
open it and find this message from one of Alaska's leading Newspapers, Palin resigns, Oh this should be good I think to myself.
What she get busted doing this time, peeking over the fence at Putin?
But to my surprise it was one of the most incomprehensible ??? has anyone got a name for this? a little help please' brain is just not grasping this. I realize she's quitting but why? because of being picked on by the liberal press? and or because she finally figured out what we all knew from the beginning, shes not ready for prime time, I hope Tina Fey is though this is going to be interesting fodder for Letterman.
And does anyone know how to create more trigs? and why do we need more like him?
I had to look close to see if she was foaming at the mouth.
Here's hoping my computer didn't catch what she has.

Wow. Watching that video might be the strangest 18 minutes of my life so far.
Just so I know I've got this straight:
She's resigning because the media is mean to her and her kids and once she decided not to run for reelection, she knew she had to resign because lame duck governors take too many foreign trips on the taxpayer dime and she knows she can do more outside of government anyway because she realized it on her recent trip to Kosovo.
Does that sound about right?
