Glenn Beck Jokes About Murdering Nancy Pelosi
We all know Fox News is a family channel. Fair and balance news, politics, and... jokes about murdering the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Glenn Beck has to clear a pretty high bar at this point to really shock anybody anymore, but this?

No it dosen't surprise me that he said it. It's Glenn Beck, what do you expect. But I know i'll catch alot of shit for saying this but since it's friday what the heck. Why do I get the feeling some of the liberals here wouldn't feel bad if that happened due to their distain for Pelosi and Reid.

So what next for the Tea Bags? Burning buildings, taking hostages, murder, shaving nut sacks, seriously what's next?

Oh please. Did you exhibit outrage at the novel published during the 2004 campaign depicting the assassination of Bush? How about Affleck implying that Bush should be hanged?
The hypocrisy here is getting rank.

Since your a troll and since I disliked Bush yes. I didn't like the man or his policies but I never would want thr man to die, he's got a family. Believe me I know death. I'm 21 going on 22 and my dad died when I was 14. I know the pain.

No, only yours. The racist and Nazi remarks by Beck, Hannity, and Rush were met by coddling by the Repubs. In fact, Conservative Jew and Minority Whip Eric Cantor (who sits on the board of Virginia Holocaust Museum ironically) just said the Repubs *need* Rush. While Rush just compared the Administration to Nazis. Some Repubs have actually apologized to Rush for disagreeing with him.

You should be hanged.

I'll go along with that idea.

Can we poke him with pointed sticks first?

Yes, a book that no one read is exactly like a guy who has hours of radio and television airtime every week.

Yeah, they're so much alike, the left and the right. Everyone enjoys a good joke about killing people, don't they?
Whether it's poisoning a Supreme Court Justice or blowing up a newspaper company, or the UN for that matter, whenever the punchline has somebody being killed, it's just good-natured fun.
But, oh those zany Republicans. They've really turned murder humor into an art form.

Read Glenn Greenwald's latest post cataloguing the outrage that accompanied an ad proposal comparing Bush to Hitler that was one of thousands submitted in a MoveOn contest (and quickly flagged and removed), to the crickets chirping in response to daily threats of violence and comparisons to Nazis coming from rightwingers with audiences of millions.
And then shut the fuck up.

Well, a couple obvious (to those of us in reality) differences:
1.The movie was a work of fiction. And it certainly didn't advocate the assassination.
2.Affleck is not supposed to be a journalist, or a political commentator at all. Yes, what he said was wrong. But he's not being given a nightly show to spew his wrongness. If a talking head said Bush should be hanged on the air, I would support that person's firing.
In any case, have you noticed that every single time you post it's to whine that "Democrats do it too" and act like that (even if true) makes whatever evil thing your party did OK? Did you really not attend grade school? This subject is usually well covered in childhood.

shooter,
read your own post;
yep, the hypocrisy is getting rank as you just hung yourself on your own petard.

One doesn't hang on a petard. A petard was a bomb. "Hoist with his own petard" comes from Hamlet and apparently Will was using "hoist" differently than we typically do now.

Christ, give me a break, I know what a petard is. Here's how I was using it.
Idiom4. hoist by or with one's own petard, hurt, ruined, or destroyed by the very device or plot one had intended for another.
Or poetic license?

I hold no distain for Pelosi and I believe she has pushed legislation through the house in a remarkable fashion. Now reid, is a different story.
But to the point of this post, how can anyone put forth a position of assination is beyond me!

In the spirit of GOP humor, of the self-deprecating kind, perhaps Mr. Beck would consider putting his head in a log-splitter. Now THAT would be a laugh riot. If I were a Republican, that is.

I wonder if Beck's head being shoved up Limbaugh's ass (à la Hancock) might be more fitting, if not amusing.

Too late. Beck rents a suite in Limbaugh's ass.
I did enjoy that scene in "Hancock", though.

I have to wonder: does the FCC look into death threats made on the air? Now, THAT would be my tax dollars at work.
