IWF: Women Will "Die of Breast Cancer" if You "Surrender" to Obama's Plan

An message from the Independent Women's Forum to its considerable email list tells a terrifying tale. "More American women are going to die of breast cancer if you and I surrender to President Obama's nationalized healthcare onslaught," it reads.

It's as simple as that.

You see, over the past 30 years our nation's doctors and self-responsible citizens actually drove the mortality rate from breast cancer down 25%....

Why? Because nationalized healthcare does not let doctors and their patients decide what's best. Because nationalized healthcare means fewer treatment options.

And because, at the end of the day, you and I are much more likely to do all it takes to keep ourselves alive than some faceless government bureaucrat.

I suppose the logic is that the treatments and screenings that have lowered the breast cancer rates will disappear or be "rationed" after Obama "nationalizes" the health care system.

You can read the entire letter below the fold.

Dear Xxxxxx,

More American women are going to die of breast cancer if you and I surrender to President Obama's nationalized healthcare onslaught.

It's as simple as that.

You see, over the past 30 years our nation's doctors and self-responsible citizens actually drove the mortality rate from breast cancer down 25%.

That's at least 300,000 more women who are alive today because America's healthcare system works better than government-run systems. And that's at least 300,000 women who, facing cancer in the future, are likely to suffer under nationalized healthcare.

Why? Because nationalized healthcare does not let doctors and their patients decide what's best. Because nationalized healthcare means fewer treatment options.

And because, at the end of the day, you and I are much more likely to do all it takes to keep ourselves alive than some faceless government bureaucrat.

As IWF's chairman Heather Higgins pointed out recently on Fox and Friends , the difference between healthcare in America and in countries with nationalized healthcare is staggering. In the United States, the cancer survival rate is better than 90%. In England, that rate is only 77%. It's even worse elsewhere in Europe.

Let me tell you, that difference is real lives saved. People you and I know. Real people who are alive today because America's healthcare system works! And real people who might not make it if President Obama inflicts his nationalized healthcare on America.

Now, I've told you the bad news. But now let me give you the good news. Because there is good news.

While the administration tries to con America with a nationalized healthcare shell game, you and I can defeat their slight-of-hand with facts. And our message is simple:

Nationalized healthcare means huge costs and higher mortality.

Now, that's a clear message! And it's at the center of our exciting new television ad you can watch right now at http://www.iwf.org .

I think you'll agree it is a message you and I can use to stop President Obama's nationalized healthcare train in its tracks!

Our new ad makes our point in the most powerful terms possible. It will convince millions of women who might not even consider themselves conservative that "Obamacare" threatens the lives of their family and friends.

With your help, IWF will convince Americans to reject nationalized healthcare.

Now, concerned Americans like you have already helped IWF create this ad and air it in nine states. The response has been tremendous! And that's good.

But to stop the government-funded promotion of government-run healthcare, IWF must raise $1 million to get our message out to the American public.

And you know I will spend every dollar to make sure we win! Together we will,

* Increase our presence on television shows, radio shows, and in print,ยท
* Reach new audiences with aggressive online outreach, and
*
* Run our new ad and run it again. And again and again until Americans know the truth. And until Washington has no choice but to get it right!

Jeffrey, will you please take one more look at our new ad, and then send me a tax-deductible gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or even more today? Will you please make the most generous gift you can afford, right now ?

And when you have made your generous contribution, I hope you will do even more.

You see, Jeffrey, I hope you will e-mail a link of our new ad to every person you know. I hope you will post a link of our new ad at every blog you can find. And I hope you will forward this e-mail to anyone you think might support our effort to save America from President Obama's nationalized healthcare. That's a lot, I know.

But with the lives of hundreds of thousands of American women on the line, you and your Independent Women's Forum can do no less.

Thank you for all you do for Independent Women's Forum. Especially now.
Sincerely,

Michelle D. Bernard

President and CEO
P.S. As Heather Higgins says in this recent Wall Street Journal Article , "If this takeover isn't worth resisting, what is?" Millions of Americans are waiting for our answer. And I hope to hear from you soon.

Gee, it looks like cancer death rates have been dropping in Great Britain also:

"The rate of cancers occurring in Great Britain among those age 35 to 69 years old has remained stable but death rates have fallen by about 2.4 percent each of the past ten years. The trend is similar to the U.S., where earlier detection and new treatments are saving the lives of more cancer victims."

Obama's mother died of cancer. That fact alone shows that Heather Higgins and Michelle D. Bernard two of the lowest, lying shits on the planet.

I suppose the logic is . . .

Don't even waste your time. There is none. Just another example of making shit up, knowing the MSM is going to spend more time broadcasting their charges than pointing out that they're lying through their teeth.

What is really really sick about this is that women are dying every day of breast cancer because they don't have health insurance and can't get any care.

But those aren't "People you and I know." So they don't count.

Heather Richardson Higgins is a big whig at IFW. They are all a bunch of tight ass bitches at IFW. Michelle Bernard, the President is always on MSNBC spewing b/s. Higgins was on this morning pushing her lies and complaining that Obama was trying to ram this health reform through too fast and "it took him 6 months to find a damned dog".

I went and wrote her a note and told her I thought she is an educated woman ... And I am sick of the LIES!!!

I certainly hope one of the MSNBC hosts that has her as part of a panel puts her on display to try to prove her b.s.

The stupid ... it is spreading!!!!

Again, hyperbole designed to frighten the unthinking masses. They only have to keep nibbling around the edges of supporters to diminish or kill reform. People continue to misinterpret the difference between advanced procedures and developments in medicine, and access to effective, affordable health care. The US is rightly known for its advances in medicine, in all its facets, but many other countries with some form of national health coverage, provide better day to day access, and better standards of health care, resulting in a healthier population. Why is that?

Who the hell is the Independent Women's Forum? Never heard of them before, apparently a Phyllis Schlafly-type organization? NOW has supported single-payer for years. I hope they push back. Off to email them ...

Oh, now I see who they are. Why aren't they identified in this article as the conservative, anti-feminist group that they are? If TPM isn't doing it, you can bet the MSM won't.

They also have a TV ad that is running in my state that says the same stuff. "All these extra women will die of breast cancer if health reform passes!" Every time I see it, I want to scream at the TV, "What about the women who already die in this country of cancer because they *don't have insurance!!!*"

"America's healthcare system works!"

Seriously? Tell that to the 50 million people without insurance. How's it working for them?

NY Times interview of GA conservative Republican man who has 100% paid for health care--except for his wife says it all. He pays $500+for her because she had breast cancer. If he loses his job of 39 yrs, she can't get coverage. He said "The government should give better health care, just not to everyone." That is the GOP vision for this country. (I'm sure this guy was a church goer too)
