Broun: Obama Has Everything He Needs To Establish An Authoritarian Government

Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) is reiterating his dire warnings about President Obama imposing an authoritarian regime in the United States, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.
At a meeting of local Republicans last night, Broun said that Obama already has or will have the three key elements necessary to become a dictator: A national police force, gun control and control of the press.
"He has the three things that are necessary to establish an authoritarian government," Broun said. "And so we need to be ever-vigilant, because freedom is precious."

Is Broun talking about Obama, or King George, who nearly ruined a country with 225 years of democracy with his eight years of lying to the people, and calling anyone who questioned them a TRAITOR? What rock has Broun been under for the 21st century?

Let's remember that Rasmussen poll that showed that 55% of identified Republicans thought that elected Republicans were too liberal.
So maybe Broun still isn't wingnutty enough to represent his party.

There's no sense of patriotism, at all, in these and other comments by Republicans. They're dehumanizing Obama, making crazy claims, and all they seem to care about is destroying him. And I'm worried that the concerted epidemic of craziness is going to start sinking into the public consciousness.
My representative, Chris Murphy, held an open meeting on healtcare in Danbury last night. A retired teacher who pays $12,000 a year for healthcare is perfectly happy with that, and wants to "slow the process down". This is insanity.

Don't forget about the USA PATRIOT Act, courtesy of his predecessor. If President Obama were intent on becoming an authoritarian dictator, it was George W. Bush and the Republican-led Congress who laid the groundwork.

I'm with Felix and CT. I don't find this stuff funny anymore. The right says things that are increasingly outrageous and downright treasonous and it's become so commonplace, people barely notice. The MSM does not call them out on it. And the right wing sheep, clueless they are being exploited, just nod along and mutter about Obama, Socialism, and Fascism, as if they were three words that have always gone together. It's so depressing.
