It turns out that the fundraising avalanche for Rep. Joe Wilson's (R-SC) Democratic opponent Rob Miller, in the wake of Wilson's "You lie!" outburst during President Obama's speech, also cuts the other way, too.
Wilson has now taken in more than $200,000 since the outburst, during which time he has hit the radio and TV talk show circuit and launched his own fundraising effort.
It's not as much as Miller's $750,000 from outraged liberals, but it's not chump change, either. And seeing as how the right was a bit slower to mobilize in fundraising over this, in comparison to the immediate flood of donations to Miller from liberals, this could shape up as a real race for money.

"...also cuts the other way, too"? Eric, I'm afraid you've been covering Sarah Palin for too long.

Maybe if his little outburst actually had a point, he would have made a little more moolah.

I'm wondering if the funds are a response to his opponents' sudden influx of donations rather than an "attaboy" for his outburst.

Calling something a lie a thousand times does not make it a lie.
Delusion seems to correlate well, though, with the inability to type without using all caps.

Of course Obama is a liar, he's a politician (a darn good one at that). What makes this incident so unique??? Unlike most who just opt to post a comment without a second of research, I review something called...uh...HISTORY. Hmm...I could provide plenty of examples quoted directly from the president that contradict what he says today. I could care less what someone SAYS...rather I look at what ACTIONS they take and what their pen signs. Words coming out of politicians mouths are worthless...especially Obama's rhetoric. He's no different than any other politician. I'm just glad someone actually has the balls to stand up for it...in the public eye. I don't necessarily believe it was said in the proper forum and it was of course disrespectful to the president, as he is still our president. But the FACT remains the House bill states it will not provide insurance for illegals, but of course there is no verification of citizenship and identity?!?! Hilarious. "No, you cannot get insurance, you're an illegal....oh you're not..ok..you're in". All we're asking for is a SSN on the form...is that really too much to ask?

everybody seems to forget how the Democrats Boo Bush At 2005 State Of The Union address. It is okay for the Democrats to disrespect a president but lets hand Wilson for calling Obama a lier which we all know he is.

Gee, surprise, surprise. Is it any wonder we can't trust anything Obama says:
The white house tonight (late on Friday night) sent out its points on health care in regards to illegal immigrants. Oh, its basically like Congressman Wilson said ” A Lie” and its nice how on this nice late Friday night the administration noted:
“ the administration also concedes that hospitals would be compensated with public funds for the care of undocumented immigrants”. I guess many owe Congressman Wilson an apology right now
