Poll: Christie Up By Five In New Jersey

Another poll from New Jersey has Democratic Jon Corzine trailing his Republican opponent, former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie -- though it's not as bad as the Quinnipiac poll with Christie up by 10 points.
The new Fairleigh Dickinson University poll has Christie with 47% to Corzine's 42%, with a ±4% margin of error. This is not significantly changed from the previous FDU poll from two months ago, which had Christie up by 45%-39%.
The pollster's analysis finds that Christie has locked up 85% of Republicans, while Corzine only has 73% of Democrats in this reliably blue state: "The Republican appears to be in pretty good shape headed into Labor Day. The question is whether he has peaked while Corzine still has voters to win over."
Late Update: Corzine campaign spokesperson Lis Smith gives us this comment: "The FDU poll and a variety of other public polls show that the Governor's message is beginning to resonate. New Jersey residents will have a very clear choice in November between a candidate that is working to get the state back on the right financial track and a candidate that has never created a job and has no plans to do so now."

Divine Intervention Pt II
Oh, Ye of Little Faith! Harken unto the words of the Lord on high!
The Lord has spoken to me once again and assured me that He intervened once more to reveal the hypocrisy of the GOP tools of Satan, Christie and McDonnell. He thought that He would have restored confidence to His chosen people, the Democrats, by His destruction of the "C" Street Coven minions of Satan, Ensign, Sanford, Pickering, and Coburn, all within a matter of days virtually, but, No!, the naysayers, those of little faith, would not embrace the Holy Spirit and renew their faith in the ultimate triumph of good over evil. He then decided to make a further demonstration of His divine will by smiting both of the most prominent Pharisees of the 2009 campaign, Christie and McDonnell, in just one week. How much proof do we need?
Furthermore He has confirmed to me that He will allow no GOP hypocrite devil worshipper, my redundancy, not His, to long continue to hide their true nature should they venture into the public arena. This will not be the last manifestation of His judgment. All GOP evildoers must know that His days of testing the chosen people with the Golden Calves are over and the days of redemption and retribution are upon us.
He also wants us all to know that, contrary to current CW, He does have a sense of humor, as evidenced by many of the strange creatures He caused Satan to empower, and that He has a keen sense of style, which was offended mightily by Christie's gluttony and McDonnell's dye job. He also works in strange ways His wonders to perform, as witnessed by his use of the Mainstream Media for His purposes when it suits Him, as evidenced by the WaPo breaking the McDonnell story.
Relax My children, saith the Lord. Have confidence in yourselves and the powers of compassion and reason He hast given us when He created us. He will not fail us.
