The money is still coming in for Iraq War veteran Rob Miller, the Democratic House candidate who has received a flood of donations since incumbent Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouted "You lie!" during President Obama's speech last night.
The DCCC just announced that in the time since the Wilson outburst, Miller has received more than $500,000, from over 14,000 individual contributors.
Think about this: It isn't even the main campaign season yet, and nevertheless a cool half-million has come in online for Miller in less than 24 hours.

"We all make mistakes," Obama told reporters, a day after Wilson stunned the president and his colleagues with his outburst.
Infuriated Democrats briefly considered sanctioning the four-term congressman, but decided early Thursday that doing so might distract lawmakers from getting an agreement to overhaul health insurance.
"It's time for us to talk about health care, not Mr. Wilson," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Nice work, Joe Wilson, you handed over your house seat and gave the momentum on health care back to Obama with one comment. Why can't Harry Reid be this effective?

Sounds like Wilson took all the apologies back in his appearance on Hannity. Will he get away with it?

I applaud everyone for going to bat for Rob Miller, and I was happy to flip him a few bucks.
But I seriously hope that everyone who took time to think about Joe Wilson today also took some time to pressure their Congress-critters to support Obama's health care plan as well. Because what's happening, I think, is that we're crucifying Wilson (which incidentally makes him a martyr) and we're giving the other 534 members of Congress a pass.

Once it gets over $1,000,000, Miller should use the funds to start the "Neuter and Spay the Joe Wilson Clan" foundation.
We can't allow this dumb ass cracker Joe Wilson's genes to remain on Earth.
It just makes all the rest of us that much more stupid.
