Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is hoping to make today a special message to the left -- especially "Big Sister Pelosi and Big Brother Reid" -- through a mega-fundraising drive for her campaign.
The intention is send a message from the American people: "You're saying that you don't want this Gangster Government supersized!"
"We can show them that we mean business by raising money from patriots like you across the nation in a one-day fundraising blitz," said an e-mail from Bachmann's campaign. "There will be no dismissing our efforts as Astroturf -- this is the power of the People taking back their government!"
So far, she's not exactly in Ron Paul money-bomb territory, with only about $22,000 to show for it so far. But hey, the day is young, so let's see what happens. Check out the full-email after the jump.

They dismissed you at town hall meetings -- called you astroturf, artificial, even un-American.
They turned a blind eye to the tea parties.
Corruption at ACORN using your tax dollars hasn't made it to the President's radar screen.
SEND THE LEFT A MESSAGE THEY CANNOT IGNORE:

Dear Friends:
I promised you Monday that TODAY, Wednesday, October 14th, we would together send the Left a message they cannot ignore. Here's how we're going to do it. I hope you'll join the effort!
You may have noticed that Washington no longer talks about spending millions or even billions of your tax dollars. The powers-that-be at the White House and Congress deal in trillions now with ease!
Go to www.michelebachmann.com at any time to make your voice heard!
That's why the deficit and national debt are at historic highs and are only expected to keep rising.
That's why Medicare's on its way to broke and Social Security will take in less than it pays out next year.
Only in Washington could they consider an $829-billion health plan a bargain!
Washington's reckless spending is jeopardizing our future prosperity and whittling away at your liberty. The dollar's dominance overseas is being openly questioned and American exceptionalism is being openly mocked.
Is this the legacy we want to leave our children?
I don't think so. Join me today and we can build a better future together!
You've gone to the town hall meetings and been at the tea party rallies, only to be ignored by the Left. Well, I've heard you loud and clear and you're saying: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
You're saying that the Constitution matters!
You're saying that if Washington can't even stop funding a corrupt group like ACORN, you don't want to trust it with your money!
You're saying that you don't want this Gangster Government supersized!
And, you're saying that America was founded on noble principles of life, liberty, and property and that we should be proud of what we stand for -- not taking a world apology tour!
Well, if all that the Left understands is money, then that's how we can send them a message that they'll actually hear!
Can you make a donation today at www.michelebachmann.com to show the Left that we mean business? Can you ask your friends to join you in sending even just $25 today at www.michelebachmann.com?
We can show them that we mean business by raising money from patriots like you across the nation in a one-day fundraising blitz.
There will be no dismissing our efforts as Astroturf -- this is the power of the People taking back their government!
Thank you, and God bless,
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann

I have no doubt that the pinheads of the 6th will gleefully send Bachmann back to congress next year.

Yup. But if the Democrats win control of the Minnesota state legislature in 2010, it could be her last term. I don't know enough about the demographics of her district to know whether it could be cracked without endangering Democratic districts elsewhere, but if it can be done, I expect it will be.

It could be done very easily. Her current district is a weird creature, encircling Minneapolis and St. Paul, and just barely red.

I would love nothing more than to see Bachmann's campaign office overrun with bags of mail full of "campaign contributions" such as, perhaps, envelopes containing a singular coupon to Burger King. Maybe a page torn from a Rorschack test. Two pennies taped to a card?
She has invited this fundraising as a referendum regarding "the Love" she generates among us all. It would be appropriate in response to let her staff be overwhelmed trying to decide how to manage and report the many items that could be sent by those of us interested in only registering our contempt. She is, after all, a really disgusting piece of work who is worthy of nothing more.

How can a candidate be taken seriously when his or her fundraising letter is rife with exclamation points? Next it will be emoticons.

But she gets points for being judicious on the all-caps.

The Democratic Party needs Bachman's underdrive.

wow, I'm sure she'd offer a drowning man a drink of water, too.
In this time of economic disparity - she's asking people for something they've got little to nothing to spare in order to push her agenda and stroke her ego.

Processing online donations cost campaigns real money, if a bunch a people donate a token amount (like a nickle each), the cost will eat her alive. I'm just saying...

Ah, yes. Back to the Golden Age of the Landed Gentry! In no time at all, we'll repeal all those other pesky rights that make life so aggravating for the landowning plutocracy.

I might consider giving her $.01, but only if I can ascertain that the credit card fee will be more than that.
