Bachmann: When I Think of Leaving Washington, I Look At My 5 Kids, 23 Foster Kids

Appearing today on the Glenn Beck show, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was asked a very blunt question: Does she ever think she would be better off if she just got out of Washington?

"Well sometimes you think that. But then I'd have to look at my five kids, our 23 foster kids that we raised, and realize I have to hand the baton of freedom off to them," said Bachmann. "I have to look at myself in the mirror and ask myself: Did I do everything I could possibly do to make sure our country stays free, under our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution."

Eric? Just curious: do you get hazard pay, or time and a half, for when you report on Michelle Bachmann?

You've certainly earned it.

I would think it would earn him an extra day off or something. Ya know, some quiet time to try and reorient his brain back to understanding "non-crazy" speak.

5 kids and 23 foster kids? No wonder she's crazy.

I feel sorry for the children! Can you imagine a more dysfunctional mother?

And for Eric --> hazardous duty pay!

One of her sons, Harrison, joined Teach For America, which is a member of AmeriCorps, which Bachmann has described as running “re-education camps for young people.“ The Serve America Act, which she voted against, supports programs such as TFA. What does all of this mean? Evidently, the BachLoon probably hates at least one of her kids as much as she hates, well, everything else.

OH NO!!! Its been Bachman running the "indoctrination camp"! So, now we have a minimum of 28 children in this country that have been "indoctrinated" with the Bachman Crazy Platform. DAMN YOU ACORN!!!!

...Michelle, you have to be at least 25 years of age to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

No one can take care of 28 children. What is the matter with this crazy woman? How much money did she get for the foster children?

She is one sick fucker!

She didn't necessarily foster the 23 kids for very long. Often foster child arrangements are only a matter of weeks or months. If she cared for two at a time for an average of six months each, that's only six years with an extra two kids on top of her own five.

That said, if I am making an accurate assumption, Bachman would be exaggerating to say she "raised" the foster kids, but that would hardly be unexpected for her. Of course there were probably a few that she maintained an ongoing relationship with, but I doubt it's more than a handful of them.

Those 28 kids are going to make some therapists incredibly rich. Way to contribute to the economy Michelle!

It's more likely that those kids will grow up to be taxpayers rather than tax takers. They'll go to good schools, respect achievement, and take the straight and narrow.
If nothing else she's done more on a personal level to help those that need it, than most of her colleagues. I should think that alone would set her apart. If she were a Democrat we'd have seen a bazillion stories about what a humanitarian she is. But, BDS has gripped the left. Again.
Tsk.

I respect foster parents a great deal. It is a difficult and often thankless job caring for children in extremely troubled situations. However, that is no excuse for being a fringe lunatic liar like she is.

Yeah, because having a parent whose sole contribution to society has been to work for the government is a great way to demonstrate being a "taxpayer". I'll agree that they'll all be more likely to rise to positions of power, either in government or the private sector, as they've doubtless already learned the key corporate virtue: tell whatever lie needed to help yourself at the moment. Jus' like Mama taught them!

BDS? Seriously, this woman has ODS: Obama derangement syndrome. She also has BLS: Bullshit and Lying Syndrome where nothing that comes out of that woman's mouth makes any logical or rational sense. Get out of your clausterphobic conservative bubble and wake up.

She's really, truly insane. She thinks tilting at windmills is more important than spending time with her kids. She wants to ignore her kids for the privilege of being able to hand the same windmills -- still standing, unaffected -- on to those same neglected kids.

You'd think raising 28 children would be demanding, but woman's country comes first. Family Values, also.

Of course she can't get out of Congress - if she leaves she might lose her free health care for her and her platoon of kids.

Could it be that she runs a kissing business with her 28 kids and attempted to get a housing loan from ACORN to support the expansion, but they refused?
