Even when Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) says something sensible, she manages to make it crazy.
Appearing last night on Larry King Live, Bachmann made it clear that she is not a Birther, and that this is not an issue for her or her constituents. But she took it a step further.
"I have no reason to doubt that he wasn't (sic) born in the United States. I have none," Bachmann said (She later said clearly that he's shown his birth certificate). "The only place that this issue comes up is on the left. You don't hear people on the right bringing this issue up. Honest--"
To which Larry King replied: "Then where did it start?"
Bachmann also insisted that Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh represent a real, influential political force. Even though their ratings represent only two percent of the country's population, Bachmann insisted they represent a "critical mass."
BACHMANN: Well, remember, it's who the American people are referring to, Larry. And the American people are looking to voices like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck.
KING: I just told you, but it's 2 percent of America.
BACHMANN: Well, but again...
KING: It's 2 percent.
BACHMANN: If you look for a critical mass, that's the movement, that's the direction that the critical mass is going.
KING: OK.
BACHMANN: And I -- the American people are very smart people.

she certainly is a birther. she has been out there casting doubt about obama since last year. this sounds like the same denial she made after appearing on HB and saying Congressional members need to be investigated.

If Bachmann claims to only be concerned about issues her constituents are concerned about, many of us in Minnesota's 6th District are now wondering where Bachmann got the notion that ACORN is a major issue among her constituents since she seems to spend every waking hour fretting about them.

If your transcription is correct, what she actually she says is that she has no reason to doubt that he WASN'T born in the US. That means she accepts, without doubt, that he wasn't. She probably meant to say she had no reason to BELIEVE he wasn't born in the US, but still....

Palin/ 2012, the Democrats' "dream ticket". can you imaging either one of those two froot loops talking credibly about their being able to go head to head in a policy debate with Putin, Sarkozy, Gordon Brown.
I'll bet you if caught one of them in an unscripted moment, they wouldn't be able to name the three countries those are from or lead. And if you added Lula, Bachillet, Uribe, Morales, or Correa into the mix, they wouldn't know whether they all come from Latin America or some other parts of the world as well.
The "Stupid Froot Loop Sisters in 2012", my idea of the perfect GOP ticket. The only votes they'd get would be from their fellow froot loops who make up the 2% of the Americans elctorate that listen to Rush, sean, and Glenn.
I say, bring it on!!!

you will all be looking for his birth certificate when the economy completely goes in the dumper in a few months. it won't matter if he has one, you will look for any reason to get rid of him. it will be hard to find anyone who will admit to voting for him. i've seen it before, in '72 nixon got about 60% of the vote, by '74 i couldn't find anyone who voted for him. by the way, i voted for obama, but i'm looking for a way to deny it.

In her world, 2% is a majority..She also missed the early (2nd grade) school days when basic math was explained in excruciating detail so 2% could also be a foreign concepts to bachmeister...
