Chris Christie appeared today on Morning Joe, where he got a great reception as he and the hosts slammed Democratic Jon Corzine's ads saying that Christie "threw his weight around" to get out of trouble in traffic violations.
"Listen, it's silly," said Christie. "But if you had Jon Corzine's record -- highest unemployment in 33 years, highest tax burden state in America, highest property taxes in America, I mean, you'd want to talk about anything but that. And so -- you know, but the great thing about it is they deny they're talking about my weight."
Jim Cramer, chimed in, slamming Corzine for attacking Christie as "a fat, sleazy guy with a corrupt family who's against mammograms."
Interestingly, this comes a week after Joe Scarborough attacked Christie for being afraid to come on the show. What did he have to worry about?

Would you be happier if Corzine recut the ads to say you abused your authority?

Highest unemployment in 33 years. Isn't that the outcome of the Bush/Republican years of economic policy?

It's so terrible when a fat cat politician, who loads up bills with pork so that he can gorge himself at the public trough, is lampooned for being physically obese.

This whole thing has been blown up way out of proportion. Aren't there weightier issues that could be discussed? The American people have had a steady diet of this kind of gross, bloated rhetoric for far too long.

Love Cramer's backhanded compliment. "Corzine is totally wrong to call you fat and sleazy. Next thing you know he'll be calling you a baby-raper, which we all of course know is not true."

Christie exceeded his reach so many times when he was the AG for NJ....he's Rove's and Chimpy's boy....he did their political bidding. I hope he goes down in flames.
I mean really, who is watching much less listening to Joe "when I was in Congress" Scarborough and his goofy sidekick, hasbeen Mika. She's lucky she has a job.
