Deeds/McAuliffe/Clinton Rally Coming Next Week

This morning, we reported Terry McAuliffe would be returning to the campaign trail in Virginia to stump for Creigh Deeds starting Sunday. Now TPMDC has learned McAuliffe will be bringing one of his friends with him. A Deeds spokesperson told us McAuliffe and Deeds will appear with Bill Clinton at a Northern Virginia event on Tuesday.

Clinton came to Virginia on McAuliffe's behalf several times during the primary. At the time, observers were surprised by the small crowds the pair drew at events across the state. But those tours came just a few months after Virginia Democrats rejected McAuliffe and Clinton's requests for their vote on Hillary Clinton's behalf in the presidential primary.

Since the June primary, both Clintons have been on a bit of an upswing, with a recent poll showing Hillary with higher approval ratings than President Obama and Bill enjoying a boost after his rescue of two American journalists jailed by North Korea in August.
