TPMDC asked the White House about Evan's write-up of Rep. Kendrick Meek's chat with reporters about his bid for Senate.

Meek (D-FL) said he has been "in discussions" with the White House about a more formal role for President Obama during his campaign.

A senior administration official told us: "He's had several conversations with us and we are impressed with progress he's made thus far."

In other interesting news Rep. Sestak has picked up an interesting endorsement - Ned Lamont.

By Thomas Fitzgerald

INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, trying to knock off a veteran Democratic incumbent senator in the primary, will get an endorsement Monday from somebody who succeeded in doing just that: Connecticut's Ned Lamont.

Lamont defeated Sen. Joseph Lieberman in the 2006 Democratic primary, largely by running against the Iraq war and Lieberman's support of the Bush administration's war policy. But Lamont did not win the general election. After losing the nomination, Lieberman ran as an independent in the fall, defeating Lamont and the Republican nominee.

Sources close to the Sestak campaign confirmed that Lamont is the "mystery endorser" it announced would be coming to Independence Hall Monday.

Sestak, a two-term House member from Delaware County, is seeking to defeat Sen. Arlen Specter, who joined the Democratic Party in April, in the 2010 primary.

Damn, y'all are eazy ... Kendrick Meek is so desperate to fool people into believing he's close to Barack Obama I'm surprised he wasn't down in Miami shoppin with Michelle! Spinning this standard White House boilerplate into a damned near endorsement just sez it all.

This hater went with Hillary over Obama and stuck with her until the end, when his voters were 100 percent Barack. Then in the last two minutes of the campaign, his azz ran around Miami signing autographed pictures of himself acting like he was a part of the campaign. Note to all you non-black Democrats -- black folks in Miami are laughing at this clown. Stop encouraging his azz.

Who should we encourage, Corrine Brown? Obama named Hilalry his Sec of State so he got over it, can't you and the folks laughing at Meek get over it? The Clintons did alot for Meek and loyalty is big in Politics. If Meek runs against Rubio are you going to sit on your hands and keep laughing? If Crist wins the Rep Primary, Obama probably stays out because he thinks he can work with him. Are you a Democrat or not? If you are you ought to recognize Meek and Hillar and Barack are on the same wave length while Rubio and Crist are the opponents. The 2008 Dem Primary is over. Obama won because of his class. Try following his lead when the 2010 Senate race is going on.

I'll go with Ferre -- the guy used to be mayor of Miami. If he can survive that and not get indicted, he can survive d.c.

Be nice now! The White House says that he's made "progress". As in a "work in progress" perhaps?
