Via Facebook today, Sarah Palin took on Vice President Joe Biden over comments he made about her support for Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in the NY-23 race.

At a rally over the weekend, Biden called out Palin over her approach to energy policy. Biden's comments, as ABC News reported them:

"Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is 'Drill, baby, drill.' " Biden said...Then he leaned in to the microphone: "It's a lot more complicated, Sarah."

On Facebook today, Palin seemed eager to step into the ring again with the man she battled for the vice-presidency last year. From her post:

There's one way to tell Vice President Biden that we're tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation's progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

More from the post:

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America's consumption and security needs.

The rest of her post uses votes Biden cast in the 1970s and quotes from Ann Coulter to make Palin's case that she is in the mainstream of the energy debate while Biden is an extremist.

OMG. Seriously, people should not engage her. It'll turn into a Jerry Springer argument in short order.

"we're tired of folks in Washington distorting our message"

OK. I'm not in Washington, but I'll stop distorting your message.

Sarah Palin hates everyone.

There. Undistorted. You're welcome.

it's remarkable that the people in favor of massively limiting energy options somehow attempt to paint the people in favor of virtually every option, as being close minded on the issue.

And of course, the commentators here (and in many places), don't ever address issues, they just attack the politician in question. Can you make a coherent argument in favor of Biden's opposition to the Alaska pipeline in 73? Or his continued opposition to drilling for more oil domestically? Or his continued opposition to the expansion of nuclear energy? This just makes no sense in the context of the current energy production climate. Clean coal was the only answer in the election for Biden and Obama. So far, no action. Clean coal is a reasonable piece of the puzzle, but is unlikely to solve the energy independence problem the US faces. Why not be open to other solutions that many other countries (France - nuclear, Britain - massive offshore drilling, and others) employ safely and cleanly.

Hah!

Yes, the only debate in a discussion of "energy" is about whether to "massively limit" energy "options", or open everything up to clean, safe, and fabulous energy technologies.

Who's closeminded?

It's amazing to see people blindly assuming that Palin is authoring that Facebook site. ANYONE can start a Facebook site, yet the MSM is content to believe that Palin is actually behind this one.

Why is it that she doesn't speak on camera anymore? Why don't we get anything verifiable from her lips? We're not even getting a Max Headroom likeness anymore -- we're just getting blogs from a ghost writer. And everyone is buying it....amazing.
