On CNN a moment ago, Dana Bash reported that the Congressional Budget Office has given the Senate health care reform bill has an estimated $849 billion price tag.

Bash cited a "senior Democratic source" for this information.

The source also said the bill would reduce the deficit by $127 billion dollars, Bash reported.

The bill also reportedly includes a public health insurance option with an opt-out clause.

You have to spend money to make money.

Cue the GOP whining.

Looking good. What excuse do you have now, Nelson? This DECREASES the deficit. I can't wait for the full report on this bill.

I'm not really worried about Nelson anymore. He's just playing to the home crowd, making it look like he's being careful and not following the pack and making sure they look at the deficit reduction number. He's not going to be the lone vote against reform, and neither are Lincoln, Landrieu, Bayh, or Conrad.

Notice whose name is missing from my list? If the self-rightous, self-absorbed little prick is willing to be the lone vote against it, the other five will join him in a heart beat.

Cue Bluebell whining that the Democrats are sell-outs because the bill reduces the deficit. Healthcare is only liberal and/or a good thing if it increases the deficit and raises taxes.
