Obama Praises Heroism At Fort Hood
In this weekend's YouTube address, President Obama discussed the shooting at Fort Hood, and paid tribute to the heroism of both military and civilian personnel at the base:

"And yet, even as we saw the worst of human nature on full display, we also saw the best of America," said Obama. "We saw soldiers and civilians alike rushing to aid fallen comrades; tearing off bullet-riddled clothes to treat the injured; using blouses as tourniquets; taking down the shooter even as they bore wounds themselves. We saw soldiers bringing to bear on our own soil the skills they had been trained to use abroad; skills that been honed through years of determined effort for one purpose and one purpose only: to protect and defend the United States of America."

Barbour: New Jersey And Virginia Elections Show America Rejecting The Democrats
In this weekend's Republican address, Gov. Haley Barbour (R-MS) claimed that this past Tuesday's gubernatorial elections represent a rejection of President Obama's and the Democrats' agenda:

"This week also saw the first big elections since this administration and its Democrat Majority in Congress took control of our federal government. The results made clear the American people don't like where the Democrats are trying to take our country," said Barbour. "Virginia and New Jersey elected new governors Tuesday, and in both cases, voters chose Republican governors to succeed the Democrats elected four years ago. Both are states that President Obama carried by large margins last year."

Obama's Day Ahead
President Obama began speaking to the House Democratic Caucus at 11:25 a.m. ET, ahead of an expected vote on health care reform. He will make a statement to the press at 1:15 p.m. ET. He will depart the White House at 2:45 p.m. ET, along with the First Lady, en route to Camp David.

House To Vote On Stupak's Anti-Abortion Health Care Amendment
The Washington Post reports that the entire House will vote on an amendment to the health care bill by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI), to block people who receive federal subsidies from buying plans that would cover abortion. The amendment is expected to pass with about 40 pro-life Democrats and all Republicans -- who for their own part are planning to vote unanimously against the health care bill itself.

NRCC Has New Robocall Against 'Nancy Pelosi's Dangerous Health Care Scheme'
The National Republican Congressional Committee has a new robocall against the health care bill, which could be voted on as soon as today, saying that the bill "could lead to rationing of health care for all of Americans," and referring to it as "Nancy Pelosi's dangerous health care scheme."

Pawlenty Speaking To Iowa GOP Tonight
Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN), a potential presidential candidate, will speak to the Iowa Republican Party tonight. "We need to do a better job of explaining why Republicans are better for them, their family and their economic future than our Democratic opponents," Pawlenty told the Des Moines Register. "I think I've had some success with that in Minnesota, and that's what I'm trying to convey in other places around the country."

Palin To Pro-Life Group: 'We're Pro-Children'
Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) spoke Friday night to the Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund. Palin praised the state's pro-life movement, and offered a new message that the movement should put forward: "Let's simplify, we're pro-children."

Barney Frank: Tea Partiers Lost At 'Are You Smarter Than Michele Bachmann'
Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) joked on Friday about the Capitol Hill Tea Party, telling an audience: "Some of the people (at the rally) that wanted to engage me in conversation appeared to have been the losers in the 'Are you smarter than Michele Bachmann contest?'"
