Will Obama's decision to deploy more troops in Afghanistan improve or hurt his approval ratings?

Oh God, another terrible decision. An intractable, impossible, unwinnable situation? Let's jump in with more resources (that we can't afford)!

The banking/monetary system has collapsed? Let's give the criminal banksters $24 trillion of zero interest money (that we can't afford)!

Worst unemployment since the Great Depression? Let's hold a jobs summit!

45 million people uninsured; skyrocketing health costs? Let's force them to buy insurance from the scurrilous, profiteering Insurance Industry (which we can't afford).

This guy is a Democrat? Change? Hope? Yes, McCain/Palin would have been worse, but I am beyond bitterly disappointed with this man and the Democratic Party. They have blown the chance of a generation to make needed shifts in our policy priorities. They have opened the door for a crazed, fascistic GOP to regain power when they could have buried them for a generation.

Pah.

Well said and true, especially with respect to the last paragraph. I believe most people don't yet realize that he's already blown it. Too timid to a fault.
