Sarah Palin is urging Virginia voters to turn out tomorrow and "vote for Sarah's principles" "vote to share our principles" in a new robocall that began rolling out across the state this weekend. The calls are paid for by a group run by former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed, and do not mention the name of any candidate, including GOP gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell.
More from the call script, first reported this morning by CNN's Peter Hamby:
"The eyes of America will be on Virginia and make no mistake about it, every vote counts. So don't take anything for granted, vote your values on Tuesday, and urge your friends and family to vote, too."
Palin's been selectively on the political scene in the last few months, most notably in the bitter intra-party Republican war in New York's vacant 23rd congressional district. But her status as a McDonnell surrogate has been a source of controversy in the Virginia campaign. McDonnell "repeatedly and personally" asked for Palin's help in the campaign before changing his mind in August and declining Palin's offers for help, according to the Washington Post.
Late Update: Audio of the call appeared on Virginia political blogs a couple of hours after this was posted, leading bloggers that originally reported the call to correct their transcripts. Those corrections have been made above.
Here's the audio (h/t Greg Sargent):

Quite the front runner. She'll probably claim responsibility for the McDonnell win.

Yes she will. And she'll claim credit for Hoffman's win in NY-23. This will cement her creds as teh frontrunner for 2012.
But first, she's got 2010 to go all Rogue, supporting primary & third party challenges to what's left of the moderate GOP.
Break out the popcorn.

An interesting pairing. McDonnell's own thesis tells us that working women are a detriment to society. And Palin was very detrimental to the McCain campaign. Granted, McCain was also detrimental to the McCain campaign.
Sarah values expensive designer clothes, and BobbyMac values women staying at home. If Prada can design a fetching burka for the pregnant stay-at-home moms, these two will have a bright future together.

I hope the good people of Virginia are wise enough to revolt against the carpetbagger who would deny them their individual rights.

Nah, that's the repuke war on education since 1980. The vast majority of repuke voters are too dumb to realize that they are voting against their interests.
It's all about "values" according to the repukes. Well, if it was all about real values, people would be voting dems in droves. The repuke marketing machine in action.

This woman needs to go away. She needs to just stay up there where she can "See Russia". That is the biggest and funniest lie I have ever heard. I've been there. Yes, you can see Russia, but you can only see it from the St. Matthews Island which is WAY out there on the Aleutian chain. WAY OUT THERE. Which says the same for Sarah, WAY OUT THERE!
