RNC chair Michale Steele is excited about last night's victories in New Jersey and Virginia, but he said on CNN this morning that he's not ready to say they mean the GOP is back on track for big wins in 2010.

"I don't know yet," he said. "There's going to be more analysis to come."

"I'm not so quick to say 'Oh yes this portends great things for the GOP next year,'" Steele added. "We still have a lot to do."

Any comment about the republican candidate that you endorsed getting pushed aside by the conservatives? Does your voice mean anything? Are you CINO (Chairman In Name Only)?

The Chairman should be worried - the teabaggers aren't the most racially accepting group. And if they decide they want his job, who's to stand up against them?

Race baiting by the left is unconscionable. Stop it.

Shooter's "race-baiting" comment is nonsensical, but Michael Steele is the Republican Party Chairman that Democrats dream of. He's got it all: a tool of special interests, puts his foot in his mouth at all the best times, incompetant at strategy, panders to the most extreme elements of his party, and he can be relied on to cave to the most pompous, self-serving right wing media figures.

Thanks Republicans!

The various talking heads get paid to make mountains out of molehills. These races were all decided on mainly local issues, and looking for larger meaning on national politics is a waste of time.

a waste of time

A perfect description of the MSM. Similar to a description of television programming: the filler between the commercials.
