The Republican boycott of Senate climate change legislation continues today. But yesterday, Sen. George Voinovich (R-OH), whose objections sparked the boycott, insisted, in a tense, almost tearful moment, that his concerns were sincere, and implored Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA)--chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee--to humor him.
Voinovich himself sounds pretty earnest. But at the same time, It's hard to fault Boxer, who, after years worth of hearings on the issue, knows that all the additional EPA studies and GOP placating in the world won't win her a single minority vote in committee. So why not move ahead?

Tell Voinovich and the Republicans to go to hell. This is just health care stalling all over again. We've already seen this movie and it sucked the first time.

It does sound familiar. We heard such impassioned calls not to rush and how much more time was needed to do it together in a bipartisan way.
Maybe Voinovich is having trouble with his faculties and maybe he's a good actor. I have no clue which, or something else.

Initial analysis:
Wei---ird!
What's what Voinovich?
He may, of course, be a secret health care vote as he is retiring and thinking legacy. He is at the verge of tears over delaying something that has been studied to death.
Upon further reflection, and having taken stock, I will hereby stand with my above initial analysis.

And Grassley was being so earnest with his delaying of the Finance Committee HCR offering.
Voinovich might be on the up-and-up, but I don't trust any of them anymore. Maybe if he wasn't voting the party line, I might consider that he's not playing a political game. Where was he on the stimulus? where is he on health care? we know where he is on the climate...

Maybe they all went to some "How to Fake Sincerity" retreat one weekend!

Voinovich basically admits that republicans are playing games, he sounds like the boy who cried wolf - it's unfortunate, but he should blame his party and not the Boxer and co for not believing them anymore.

This is happening to me way too much. Second try.
Run em over. If they do not want to constructively contribute, ignore them. They can cry all they want. It's been a year and we barely got sh*t done because of the bs games played by the repukes. Ignore them and run them over.
