Now that I have that off my chest, Cheney would do well to remember that the TSA and Intelligence procedures that failed were formulated under his watch.

The Yemeni AQ members who were once in Gitmo and were involved in this attempt were released under his watch.

The failure to succeed after 8 years in the GWOT was under his watch.

Cheney pretends 3,000 Americans didn't die at the hands of Islamic terrorists on his watch. Cheney pretends Richard Reid and Zaccarias Moussaaui did not receive trials in federal courts. Cheney pretends he won the Afghan war instead of admitting he ignored it. cheney pretends the American people give a shiite what he thinks. Mike Allen pretends the same. Mike Allen is so far up Cheney's arse he had to push Scooter Libby out of the way.

I don't understand how we can be at "War" with an ideology? You can't declare war on an "idea". This guy clearly has huffed too many cans of aerosol. Or maybe took too many Viagra robbing his tiny brain of much needed o2.

What in the hell is this supposed to even mean? It's like in their feverish little minds "war" = the constant state of hysterical frenzy of fear they kept people whipped up in as opposed to actually having soldiers in the field fighting actual enemies. Or, at least, that's what they're counting on the voters believing.

Somebody should probably remind Cheney that if we *are* at war, then it's grossly inappropriate to criticize a sitting commander-in-chief, as such things simply enbolden our enemies. Wasn't that literally exactly what he said for the past 8 years? Can't imagine calling the current president "weak" over and over again is anything similar to that, though.

In a just universe, Dick Cheney would be making his pronouncements from the dock at The Hague like other torturing war criminals.

Why is Cheney not in jail?

I fluctuate between wanting to smack Cheney soundly across the face to make him shut up, and wanting to give him a hug and tell him that the mean 'other people' aren't going to hurt him.

This country totally screwed up when it put Bush in power. The same scared little boys that saw Crazy Ivan under every rock growing up got control of the government at a time when a new enemy came to the forefront.

Their response? Yelling FIRE in a crowded theater. Now why would an accomplished leadership do such a thing? Shouldn't they know better? Rather than taking a 'keep calm, deal with the situation' approach, Cheney is screaming like the crazy lady in the Airplane movies. Except there's no line of people waiting to smack the shit out of him to make him come to his senses. That's the job of journalists, and apparently they're all out to lunch.

The current administration's approach is 100% the right one. Minimize the incident publicly, so that people don't freak out, while behind the scenes letting our allies know we are not impressed. It's been what, 5 days? Already there are hundreds more security personnel in Paris airports, and Amsterdam will be using full-body scanners on every passenger headed to the US. Amsterdam - a haven of personal freedom!

What good will it do to get the entire country worked up and afraid over something they have zero control over? I wish more people would think about that, and what possible motivation these GOP ass clowns could have to instill such fear in the populace.

Yeah, he's not like Bush, who always followed Teddy Roosevelt's maxim, "Talk loudly and carry a small penis -- er, stick."

Republicans talk a lot about how important it is to call it "war" and "terrorism" to distract from the fact that they sucked at actually dealing with it. They're trying to figure out how to convince people that Obama should be more like Bush without reminded them that Bush, you know, existed.

I wonder why the Obama administration is pretending that there aren't any international war crimes tribunals. I'm sick of hearing crap from Dick.

I'm serious: There needs to be a move to arrest this guy and put him on trial. To get started, Obama needs to immediately pull the plug on his extra security and any other perk this vile criminal conspirator is enjoying at taxpayer expense. I can't think of anyone I hate more than Dick Cheney.
