Brennan: 'Clearly The System Didn't Work On That Day'
Appearing on Meet The Press, Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan bluntly admitted that there were intelligence failures in the Flight 253 attempted bombing. "Clearly the system didn't work on that day, because Abdulmutallab should never have gotten onto that plane with those explosives," said Brennan, who also said that President Obama "needs to hold everybody accountable, including me."
Brennan: Either Cheney Is 'Willfully Mischaracterizing' Obama's Position, 'Or He's Ignorant Of The Facts'
Also during his Meet The Press appearance, Brennan rebutted former Vice President Dick Cheney's latest attacks on the Obama administration, over the handling of the Flight 253 case: "Either the vice president is willfully mischaracterizing this president's position ... Or he's ignorant of the facts. And in either case, it doesn't speak well of what the vice president's doing."
Brennan: Some Gitmo Detainees Will Go To Yemen
Appearing on State of the Union, Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan said that the Obama administration will still send some Yemeni detainees at Guantanamo Bay back to Yemen. Brennan said that the Flight 253 attempted bombing was a "unique incident" that will not affect plans to close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp, and that the government is working closely with the Yemeni government: "We're going to do this the right way at the right time."
Hoekstra On Flight 253 Fundraising Letter: 'I Am Proud Of The Role That I Have Played In Making Sure That America Is Safe'
Appearing on This Week, Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) defended his use of the Flight 253 attack as the basis of a fundraising letter for his gubernatorial campaign. "I am proud of the role that I have played in making sure that America is safe," said Hoekstra. He further explained: "I've been right on the facts all along on this -- on the recent attacks, the connections with Yemen. The -- the differences between this administration and myself have been purely substantive. They have been policy. I've been trying to drive this administration in a policy direction that keeps America safe."
Lieberman: Yemen Is 'Fertile Ground' For Al Qaida
Appearing on This Week, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) explained his comment last week that Yemen would be tomorrow's war if America doesn't act preemptively: What I meant to say was that in part because we have put so much pressure on Al Qaida in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Waziristan, they're moving to Yemen. And it's a big country, very sparsely populated, a government facing two different uprisings in different parts of the country. This is fertile ground for this -- this group to -- to fester in."
Kit Bond Blasts Bush Administration For Releasing Gitmo Prisoners
Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO) criticized the Bush administration for releasing prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, and said the Obama administration should not repeat that mistake: "Well, I think that the Bush administration really needs to answer for releasing the detainees to Saudi Arabia and other places. And we've seen that's a mistake. And I know -- I'm sure they would admit that's a mistake. But to continue to make the same mistake would be a tragedy. And I really think that failing to recognize that we are under attack -- the Al Qaida and its related activities and related allies have declares war on us. They're coming after us."
DeMint: Obama Not Focused On Security, 'Distracted By Other Things'
Appearing on State of the Union, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) declared that President Obama is "distracted" and not focusing on the issue of terrorism. "It begins with not even been willing to use the word," said DeMint. "Aside from the semantics, he's been completely distracted by other things, and he is not focused on building the security and intelligence apparatus of our country."

This Week has become more right-wing than Fox News Sunday. I'd be happy that George is leaving if he weren't being replaced by an even more enormous asshat.
But hey, maybe the guy responsible for the "Mad Bitch" Hillary joke will give Democrats a fairer shake...

Let's give Hoekstra all the credit he craves. Let's introduce the Hoekstra National Security Tax and let it fund every cent we're spending on the war on terror. Well, perhaps we should call it the Lieberman-Hoekstra tax and have it adjustable to match the level of rhetoric spewing forth from these fine gentlemen. We must at all times be sure that this tax covers every conceivable action we must take in order to feel safe. The higher the tax, the safer we feel. Really.

Talk about asshats. While millions of Americans are concerned about the security of our airports, is it safe to fly on our planes, or will I be dead before I arrive back home, our Asshat-In-Chief is playing golf, going to the gym, playing tennis, walking on the beach, playing golf, buying ice cream cones, going shopping, going out to dinner, and, did I mention, playing golf and many other vacation priorities that did not include being concerned about the safety and welfare of his fellow Americans.
Finally after 3 days, he makes a 5 minute speech to say what a great job Butch Napolitano is doing and to assure everyone it was just an "isolated incident" that the panybomber already admitted he attempted at the instructions of a a Yemen cell of Al-Quaeda.
While Asshat-In-Chief could interrupt his golf game to speed down the highways of Hawaii with sirens blaring to take his friend back to the $4000-a-day villa to attend to the friend's son's minor cut on his chin, Americans are still waiting for Asshat-In-Chief to return to D.C. and take control of his disasterous staff like a real President should do.
This Asshat-In-Chief has no clue.

You are absolutely hilarious! We finally have a grown-up in control and you complain that our President isn't flailing about, changing our fear-factor scale from orange to red!
Talk about not having a clue. You don't even know what a real leader looks or acts like. (Oh! just your your information...real leaders are often not white)

You forgot to give him/her/it bonus points for the thinly-veiled homophobic slur thrown Napolitano's way ("Butch Napolitano"). The shithead "Allbiz" managed to hit nearly every wingnut talking point is a fairly short comment. Credit where credit is due and all that.

John Brennan speaks like I spell.
Did anyone else notice the foam around his mouth while he was talking. This is a sign of over medication, isn't it?
This is two "isolated incident" in a row (Fort Hood and the Panty Bomber). Is this not a non-sequitur?
But the liber buffon bergade can rest easy because Big Janet is senting the best of the DMV and Postal Service to instruct the international airport leadership to really do nothing and escape responsability, while makeing the flying public as uncomfortabel as possable.

No he doesn't. Your miss-spellings, although atrocious are not the biggest part of the problem. It is actually the meaning of what you spell that is ridiculous. Not so about Brennan. FYI: It is possible to have 1,000 isolated incidents. In fact there are probably millions of them every day on this planet. You can put them all together and find matching words and link them, and then declare yourself a genius. It still doesn't make you a genius, however.
Oh, jeeeez! "responsability" "uncomfotabel?" Get a dictionary! if "possable."

Mis-spelling is spelled with one "s".
You have failed the test to qualify as a panybomber inspector, but you are highly qualified as a racist.
I really couldn't care what color a leader is. What I care about is they MY leader puts American citizens before his golf game.
Asshat-In-Chief should have immediately returned to D.C. and taken charge of a situation that it was apparent those he appointed are too incompetent.
Come to think of it, the only thing Asshat-In-Chief is competent in is irritating Bill O'Reilly.

"Asshat-In-Chief should have immediately returned to D.C. and taken charge of a situation that it was apparent those he appointed are too incompetent."
Perhaps by tomorrow you can rework this word confetti into a grammatically correct and complete sentence.
Perhaps by adding "...to have performed." at the end.....
Oh - and changing 'are' to 'were' - you having used the conditional tense ('should have') previously in the sentence.

Another typical liberal response containing absolutely no substantive rebuttal because you know damn well I'm right.
So the the best you can do is to attack grade school grammar even though you don't have a grade school intellect.
Oh - and changing words won't change the fact that the Asshat-In-Chief SHOULD HAVE returned to D.C. and his hacks still ARE incompetent.

It's called delegation of responsibilities. Something required from a leader. Oh, well ... what are we to expect from people who venerate Reagan, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the rest of the 3 dozen Stooges!

In order to delegate responsiblilty you have to be responsible yourself. Asshat-In-Chief can't handle that responsiblity with the miscreants he has responsibly hand picked and put in positions that are way over their heads.
BTW, mine is not the party of Reagan, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.
But unfortunetly, you are right about the 3 dozen stooges and one Asshat-In-Chief.
