Massachusetts Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown's campaign is distancing itself from comments he made in 2008, which we reported on over the weekend, in which Brown expressed doubts over whether Barack Obama was born in wedlock -- and is declaring that any idea that he might believe otherwise is a lie.
Said Brown spokesman Eric Fehrnstom told Greg Sargent: "He doesn't believe that. This is more desperate campaigning from Martha Coakley. When she isn't calling for higher taxes, she's making things up about Scott Brown."
For the record, Brown was debating another guest on a regional news show during the 2008 election, when a discussion came up of Bristol Palin's pregnancy. Brown pointed out that Obama's mother had him when she was 18. The other guest said "And married." Brown then replied, "Well, I don't know about that," and chuckled.

He's scum: either he didn't know and made an assumption or he deliberately lied then. And when called on it doesn't explain his own actions but blames his opponent!

Oh so stupid. Obama himself pointed out repeatedly that he was born when his mother was 18, deflecting dumb criticism of the younger Palin. Much more gracious than this jerk.

What a desperate and pathetic attempt to smear a man with lies....so sad. Scott Brown was defending Bristol Palin against the hypocrisy of you liberal loons. The woman in the video was questioning Sarah Palin's and her daughters "Moral values" because of Bristol's pregnancy. Scott Brown pointed out that the looney left Messiah was born to an 18 year old as well an her only response was sort of like a 3 year old child saying "Oh yeah...well his parents were married..so there" and sticking out her tongue. Scott Brown said that he didn't know whether or not they were married an then chuckled at the massive liberal slant and idiocy of the situation. Just as I am laughing now as you all go insane because this man might win.... Oh the comedy of the left...so self righteous...so ridiculous.

Brown said it, Coakley didn't "call for higher taxes", and Brown's mouthpiece is the same attack dog that works for Mitt Romney.

The claim that Barack Obama’s birth was illegitimate was neither the product of “birthers” nor the product of the “far right” as is falsely asserted. I am neither. It is an established legal fact that Obama’s parents were not legally married because they could not be legally married. His “father” was married in Kenya before he left for Hawai’i. Indeed, Obama embraces his half-siblings from the first marriage.
I have issued a definitive statement and case law in this topic.

The efforts by hard left smear artists to protect Obama from the reality of his illegitimate birth are self-destructive. Obama is self-destructing in the White House for the very reasons I predicted in my bestselling book: he cannot admit to himself who he is.

A vote for this guy is a vote for Rush Limbaugh, the voice of the party. I watched on TV and saw the the hundreds of thousands of people in Mass. when Teddy died. Are they all going to forget his dream of this health care bill. It may not be everything everyone wanted, but when the Rush party of No, will not work with anyone from the start you get what you can. Because as we all know this is all about race with them, hell Brown is a "Birther".

Teddy should have been in prison and not trying to shove unwanted crap down peoples throats. If you had pulled the stunt he did you would still be looking out between the bars. We need an overhaul of congress with term limits on the senators and congressmen. And no more of this crap of serve one term and get full pay and benefits for life. What a job. These guys are nothing but crooks and vote themselves a raise when they want it.
