The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee -- the Dems' campaign arm for House races -- is denying an allegation from a right-wing blogger that they are spending money on the Senate race in Massachusetts.

Earlier today, Erick Erickson alleged that the DCCC had purchased advertising for the Senate race, declaring it "rather unheard of" and stating that it had campaign finance implications. "Why would House Democrats be spending their precious resources on someone running for the United States Senate?" Erickson wrote. "Because they know it would destroy Nancy Pelosi's agenda to have Scott Brown in the Senate."

"The DCCC did not purchase any advertising for this Senate race," DCCC spokesman Ryan Rudominer told TPMDC. The DCCC did send out an e-mail to its supporter list, asking people to sign up to volunteer for Democratic candidate Martha Coakley. However, there is no link to donate money to Coakley, and the DCCC says they've not bought advertising.

Contra Erickson: Even without Scott Brown, the Senate is already doing a fine job of destroying Nancy Pelosi's agenda.

60439 is the area code to be in right now with Martha Coakley setting me off through the night, coming in over the top with nothing but hate and slapping me in the face. What would she do about fallace worship in the state? Can't get over it, some guy can't get off, no money, no one around him can crack the case. So much parents in his life, not that sexually attractive but good enough.

During the first commercial break in the 11:00 news on NBC last night there sure as hell was a DCCC sponsored ad talking about the "real" Scott Brown. It played several times this morning on WBZ (CBS). "Not spending money..." Hmmm... Maybe someone donated the ad production and air time? The ads clearly state they're DCCC funded.

To be clear this was not a Massachusetts Dem party ad. This is not the Coakley campaign ad comparing him to bush/cheney. This one ends with some line about letting Scott Brown drive us to the poor house (making fun of his "I'm just like you with my gas guzzling totally unnecessary 4-WD truck" ad).
