Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) raised $1.28 million from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31 last year, his Freedom First political action committee will report to the Federal Election Commission.
The money came from 2,750 donors. Pawlenty, who is eyeing a 2012 presidential bid, donated to the campaigns of Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R-MA), Rob Portman (R-OH), Doug Hoffman (I-NY), Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and the Minnesota Congressional delegation.
The PAC spent $395,831 in the fourth quarter.
Senior Pawlenty advisor Phil Musser issued this statement:
"As more people learn about the Governor, they're really impressed by his record in Minnesota, and his natural ability to connect with people. He's an optimistic, authentic leader with a conservative record of balancing budgets and passing innovative reforms. The PAC is off to a solid start, and we look forward to playing a big role in the ideas debate, and in supporting the next generation of Republican leaders."

I'm not sure why you use the short-hand description "Minnesota Congressional delegation" when it implies he gave money to each of the state's Senators and Representatives. I expect he only gave money to the three GOP Representatives John Kline (who previously took contributions from David Duke), Erik Paulsen, and Michele Bachmann. People should be reminded anytime someone seeks national office supports a wacko like Bachmann as it shows he is endorsing her antics and extreme (sometimes approaching treasonous) views.
Also, could you provide a link to the source for the PAC expenditures so we can see how his contributions to the delegation were divided?

I'm a Minnesotan and I'm not impressed by his record in Minnesota. He has a belligerent "my way or the highway" style, talks nice in public but says one thing and does another when dealing privately with legislators. (Told to me by a legislator.) Tim cares about Tim, not Minnesota and has left the State in a terrible situation with deficits in the 3-5 billion range. "No new taxes" is his mantra, but then he increases fees as part of his shell game so he can say he doesn't raise taxes. Good riddance and don't vote for him if he runs for Pres.--please!

TOM GANLEY, the candidate for United States Senate(OH) raised 1.4 million in this last quarter. I am amazed that he could raise more money than a 2008 Presidential candidate. WOW.
www.tomganley.com is his website.
