Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele issued the following statement on the retirement announcement of Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND):
"Today's announcement by Senator Byron Dorgan of North Dakota that he will not seek reelection in 2010 highlights just how vulnerable both Senate and House Democrats have become since deciding to walk in lockstep with President Obama's government-run policies. For nearly a year Congressional Democrats have been turning a deaf ear to the concerns of the American people and as the elections of 2010 approach, many of these same Democrats are deciding to simply leave office instead of risking certain defeat. While Senator Dorgan might be the first Democrat to announce his retirement this year, I predict he will not be the last as more and more Americans start moving away from the Democrat Party's liberal agenda and towards the Republican Party's core principles of less government, lower taxes, and greater personal responsibility."

I know spin is usually a line of thinly veiled BS but his comments are a stretch even for spin. Hell, what liberal policies has Obama enacted? The dipshit Republicans have done nothing but sit like big fat cows on the tracks of progress since his first day in office. Lastly, can someone tell me one thing- ONE-that Steele has accomplished to help the Republicans gain seats in 2010?! He's nothing but an embarrasssingly powerless, idiotic, blowhard, figurehead.

Steele says "See, even though I suck at my job, I did have one guy retire so maybe we can pick that seat up!"
Hell, maybe its not even his fault he sucks so bad, you can't make fine art out of piles of crap.

The rats are jumping ship.
One of my states House of Reps. is also quitting at the end of this month. Our Presidents home state is so broke that it does not have enough money for a election. Public Schools are on the shortest school year in the country and the university is making the professors take 10% reduction in pay.
No one wants to be around when the s#&t hits the fan.

Congressman Neil Abercrombie is retiring to run for Governor.
And by the way, all that s#&t that's about to hit the fan has taken place under a republican governor.

At last count, four Demoratic senators have announced their plans to retire, while six Republican senators have announced their plans to retire.
And yet, take a look at "The Note" on ABC's website with the headline, "Democrats are Dropping Like Flies".
It is quite obvious that a continuing narrative in the "liberal media" for 2010 will be the demise of the democratic party. This despite the same talking-heads being grossly wrong in their election predictions in 2006 and 2008, not to mention being wrong on just about everything else.

Some one needs to Explain the difference to Mr. Steele between someone serving years in the senate and deciding to retire and some one Quiting like Sarah Palin

The GOP Pit Bull on a short leash barks again...
So does anyone know why the GOP Logo behind Steele, has the stars from the American Flag UPSIDE DOWN(satanic pentagram)? There may be more to the GOP and 'The Family' than we know.

As of right now, more Republicans are retiring than Democrats.
