Former Vice President Dick Cheney just made a surprise appearance at CPAC after his daughter, Liz Cheney, finished her speech.
The crowd went wild, standing up and cheering for several minutes before he began talking. One man yelled, "Four more years!"
"Knock it off!" Cheney said. "A welcome like that is almost enough to make me want to run for office again. But I'm not gonna do it."
He spoke briefly and offered his predictions for the November mid-terms.
"2010 is going to be a phenomenal year, and I think Barack Obama is a one-term president," he said to wild applause.

Hypothetically...if Cheney becomes President, he wouldn't be able to visit Belgium, Spain, or a few other countries practicing universal jurisdiction for war crimes...

When so many conservatives get together in one place it's easy for them to think they have tapped into some kind of zeitgeist, that everything they believe and want is the same as the rest of America. The tea-baggers have this same problem-- they meet a few hundred others with the same beliefs and think "wow, we must be a majority!"
That guy chanting "four more years" was probably joking, but he could just as likely be delusional. The more that creeps like Cheney or idiots like Palin are in the spotlight the more damage they do to their party.
